does ROM support Arabic keyboard????????? ?
I completely agree. I just cannot think of a single instance where WP7 or IOS trumps wp. Its a bit mind blowing that android are better and cheaper but idiots are still buying windows and apple [sp]this is actually a real post, i just switched windows phone and android[/sp]

Im getting either the note 2 or s3 on Wednesday. I tried to hold the note 2 in my hand at the store, but they had this big thing on the back of their phones so no one could run off with it (connected to the stands). I like the big screen, but I want to be able to use a phone with one hand, so I guess when i go back i'll see if they actually have a phone I can hold without the big buldge on its back to decide.

But they do have a one handed mode for certain apps. For instance you can have shrink the keyboard down and move it either left or right, easier for texting and such. Also one handed calculator, keypad and call buttons and a one handed unlock pattern. Used them for a bit but just switched back to normal. If you want to use for phone for watching movies or games I can't fault the Note 2. Its superb. People will say its just an oversized S3 with a stylus, which is true.
One of the users signature had this: so wait, you're not rooted? N0000B! so wait, you're not S-OFFed? N000B! so wait, you're on stock ROM? N00B! Wow.
S-OFF? I've never once needed S-OFF to root or install a custom ROM. Sure, if you're S-ON, it requires an extra step, but you're a lot less likely to brick your phone. EDIT: S-OFF is needed for doing a SIM unlock, but that's it, and you can re-ON it when you're done. It's stupid to keep your phone that way. (Though they're much easier to extract than to modify, because of the signature)

What is this s-on/s-off stuff?
I think you need S-OFF to install custom kernels as well.
Oh, yeah, some custom kernels need that. There are others that you can install with S-ON through a boot.img hack.
I don't even know what S-OFF is supposed to do, it's just mindless letters to me
What is this s-on/s-off stuff?
It's a security mode for HTC phones. It locks down certain important firmware like the radio and kernel. It's a deeper level security than bootloader lock; if you have your bootloader unlocked but S-ON (security on), you can still install custom ROMs but not kernels (usually) or radios.

The Note 2 is basically the larger, slightly updated version of the S3 and if your hands can handle the size (as well as everywhere else) then get the Note 2. If it's a bit too large get S3.

But why are some pieces hidden? Like sounds and other files are hard to find. Are they under another layer of compression, or...
