hey, here's a real question. my dad is trying to open a .xls (or whatever the Excel file type is) on his phone (RAZR on ICS). he keeps getting an error that amounts to "cannot open the document". he uses quickoffice, so I downloaded kingsoft to troubleshoot. same error on kingsoft. I looked at the email and saw that it's coming from an iPhone. the document is originating on a desktop, but I'm wondering if the iPhone is changing the codec required to open the file. this rendering the android phone incompatible. thoughts?
Import it in google docs [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] *drive
Everyone I know loves Swype but I cannot stand it for the life of me. I just like using SwiftKey, which is also fun for just hitting the predictions and seeing what comes out.
Everyone I know in RL uses SwiftKey all day. They don't like swyping, I asked. They like tapping and they like how they can text without looking and not worry about the spelling because of the amazing predictions. It's possible that the file you are trying to open is already corrupted. Try opening the attachments on your computer.
Help needed Was having problems with receiving text messages on my GS3 (verizon) on the Paranoid Android ROM. I've used a nandroid to get back to stock w/ root I don't have any problems with sms anymore to my knowledge however I haven't seen a 4g Signal when I know I should be getting 4 bars on LTE, all I can get is 3g. Any help please?
Are tablets worth the money? I've been just thinking about it, but I don't have any reason to buy one. First, I like to program and surf on fp, but then I need a good Display, and a avaible keyboard for it, then I need more processing power and more storage, so the only thing I would buy is a laptop. It would be "cool" to pull out one in a boring class or at home to watch/browse something, but I already have a android phone that can do the same stuff, so it is pretty useless for me.

From there there's an option to select which network type to use. Select LTE or something like that.

If you already have a laptop that's modern then you could just save the money for a new laptop in the future. You can still get the Nexus 7 which is like $250 for 32GB or get the cheaper one with less storage. I would personally invest in a laptop of camera but that's just me.
considering that programming is like the only thing i'm good at, i would just kill myself

or invent the first amish computer. aMish One.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Analytical_Engine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moniac Have fun :v:
Can somebody tell me if the GS3 screen stops being smooth over time? when I got my HTC desire z my finger glided over it like butter but after 4 weeks it was a lot less smooth and my thumb felt like it was being dragged across the screen does this happen with the S3? Can somebody confirm if they've owned it for a long time?
clean your damn screen
No I don't mean dirt I mean it's like the screens smooth layer wears down (is that even possible?), I always keep my screen immaculate and I'm always wiping it down, it's just how it is on my phone, so I wanted to know if it happens on the S3 [editline]25th November 2012[/editline] And if you're going to say "clean your thumb" I'm not some flat slob, I shower every day :v:
I know my i9000 gets more fingerprints than it used to, and they're harder to wipe off. Screen also "isn't as smooth" so it could be related to the oleophobic coating, or lack thereof after long time use.

That's why you get a screen protector but even with it, it eventually gets rough and scratched up. It's not as smooth as it used to either.
I only have a few spots on my Vivid where the oleo is worn off because I dropped my phone or something to damage it. I don't think it just completely wears off from normal use, but I might be wrong.
I never got a screen protector because my phone is going to be replaced soon but I'm gonna pick one up for the i9300
so hey guys i have two emails with Ingress activation codes sitting in my Gmail account but I've never had to actually enter those codes in does this mean I can just give them away and other people can use them or what
yyes you can give them away
My friend dropped my phone because he was trying to charge his laptop nearby nd dropped it on the table. There's now a dent on the upper center right corner of it. Oh well.
Signed up for a new contract and got a SGS3 for 96 cents at Sam's Club . Threw on Slim rom, popped open PShop and baked some uccw's.
