Darn, well im either getting the gs3 or note 2 on wednesday at att and can't wait!
Are those pics your home screens or lock screens? That looks so clean.
They're both home screens, yes.
I believe the apps I used were UCCW, Desktop Visualizer, SSLauncher, and Multipicture Live Wallpaper.
I haven't yet finished with the Lock yet.
Nice home screens!
My phone can't handle these awesome set ups, it would just lag like crazy.
I wonder how boring these threads are going to become when garychencool finally gets a new phone.
My friend dropped my phone because he was trying to charge his laptop nearby nd dropped it on the table. There's now a dent on the upper center right corner of it. Oh well.
Don't worry, man. I just ordered a new digitizer for mine that I have had for about a week. This is what I get for trying to hold things.
Help needed
Was having problems with receiving text messages on my GS3 (verizon) on the Paranoid Android ROM. I've used a nandroid to get back to stock w/ root I don't have any problems with sms anymore to my knowledge however I haven't seen a 4g Signal when I know I should be getting 4 bars on LTE, all I can get is 3g.
Any help please?
Make sure you haven't lost your IMEI.

Don't worry about it, I don't think I'm getting a new phone any time soon. Yeah without Ezhlik this thread got boring-ish over the last couple of weeks.
Meh, this thread is generally not all that fast-paced anyways.

well with me out of the android game, with flashfiresix getting a new phone, gary replacing his sk17a would mean that the thread will become boring
Well I just joined the Android side and have no idea what I'm doing so it's no longer boring!
Geel, your resident Androidmaster, is here!
Well, I have this

Is that...Android?
I'm getting one eventually.

Let me save some more money damn it.
Just getting slowly accustomed to things. Already swapped out the keyboard and launcher on my HTC One XL. Anything else cool I can do without rooting yet?

I'm not really replacing my phone. I said my mom was interested in that sale. Clearly it's not going to happen.

Oh shit, I had that phone.
I nearly threw a fit when I couldn't watch YouTube on it
Is that...Android?
No it's brewmp or something
I had the LG Neon 2, it was like the LG Rumour 2 but with a crappy resistive touchscreen and fake Androidesque interface
So i made the switch from iPhone to Android. Went from an iPhone 3G to HTC Vivid, so far im enjoying this FAR more. So what are some essential things i will need for apps? fun, work, games doesn't matter!

Vivid bros!
I really need to make a proper list one of these days, but at least get AirDroid and Evernote.
Get BetterBatteryStats.

I tried it for a bit, and I honestly just find it more confusing than helpful except in a few specific cases.
Well this is annoying.
I decided to say fuck it and root my One XL, but the HTC Drivers can't be installed on Windows 8. Woohoo...
So any unbiased, non-"doesn't fit my needs exactly so it must be terrible" problems with the N4? I just picked up a N7, and am probably replacing my iPhone 4 with a N4.

they can; I've done it. you just need to find the package with just the drivers, NOT HTC sync
discounting:
lte
nonexpandable storage
tape (really? does it really farking matter)
nonremovable battery

Here, these are the drivers, you need to install them manually through device manager

You also need an XDA account to download them

It's like... fate doesn't want you to change phones

So basically its things that I already am used to (glass back), software niggles, things that have happened before on other devices (glue drying), two possible hardware niggles, and one possible overheat issue?
Okay I'll still be picking it up, even more so because I hate the look of all of atts phones.

Yeah, the only things I would worry about are the overheating and possible speaker buzzing issue. (And both issues could be caused by the kernel, not an actual hardware defect. I've had similar speaker buzzing and call distortion with bad custom kernels on my phone. So these could potentially be fixed in an update.)
