Probably my favorite reviewer on YouTube. Kaabii, you'll be happy to know she complains about blown-out colors on Samsung devices and too much screen for the battery.
What the fuck all that wasted space on the ipad mini..
What do you mean? The biggest thing the iPad has over Android tablets is that it uses the real estate properly. Go load up the twitter app on an Android tablet and on any iPad and then we can discuss wasted space. The only thing it really does worse on is black bars in videos and less icons per homescreen.

It's awful (though not as bad as the kindle fire).
That isn't an attribute of the device (twitter app)
Yeah, it's more the developer's fault. But Google fails to push tablet optimization. They choose more developer autonomy over strict developer guidelines.
That isn't an attribute of the device (twitter app)
It's almost every single app. To say a device can't be judged by its app ecosystem is silly, everything you use on the device is an app.

A+ job HTC 11/10 would buy again. Actually I would, I'd buy an HTC 8X maybe. Since it's the only device they make that they can't meddle with. I liked when she said movies and tv are 16:9 OR WIDER. That's a HUGE thing most people totally fucking ignore. Most movies you watch on a 16:9 device will still have bars, so it's unfair to criticize 16:10 tablets or 4:3 ones on the basis of having black bars. Lots of movies are 1.85:1 or 2.40:1 which is a lot wider than 16:9 or 1:78, so even on that sort of display you'd get black bars.

I hope this video will be helpful in saving people from the Galaxy Note 10.1 in general.
Yeah, my Dad is really after something like the Note 10.1 but I told him to wait out and see if they bring out a second version.
Look at the bending tests. Where are the "LOL CHEAP ASS SHIT PLASTIC" people now? Their fruit devices would likely explode under that pressure. (However I still think the plastic looks cheaper on the S3 than it did on the S2)
That's great. Would it kill Samsung to have a matte plastic battery cover so the device doesn't feel like my hands after eating a bag of greasy chips? [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] Also you guys need to calm the fuck down and stop trying to figure out other people's personal lives, that shit isn't cool and I know that I personally wouldn't welcome that.

Nobody is going to find anything about me. I'm the pink ball on every site I go to, or I use my fox avatars. I appreciate the concern though [img]http://www.facepunch.com/fp/ratings/heart.png[/img]
You mention this about pretty much every phone ever.
Well, the issue is that the only OEMs that really seem to bother with calibration are Apple, HTC, and maybe LG, if LG display has a big enough hand in the displays that go into LG Mobile's devices.
But LG gave no fucks about calibration on the Nexus 4.
That's true, but that's because Google never has. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] I'd like to hope that LG bothers calibrating properly for their own displays though. [editline]26th November 2012[/editline] In other news, a friend of mine got the AT&T Optimus G. I was extremely impressed by the performance and general UI, I think LG may be a player in the future for top smartphones.
They'll have to. I've shown a few friends my iPad, and they've gone and bought it over competing Android tablets or Win8 ones once I can show them areas where the color saturation and calibration really makes a difference. When you know what you're missing, you start to want it a lot. If HTC has that 1080p calibrated nicely, it's going to woo a lot of people even farther than it being 1080p already would. HTC has shown it's hard to win back a reputation when you've ruined it so badly, and their terrible support for updates on their supposedly consolidated lineup is not helping one bit.

Doesn't the G run 4.0.4? That seems like a wrong move right off the bat. Two versions behind. Google should honestly not allow that. You launch with the latest version or you delay it until you have the newest version ready for launch.

Posting from my new Samsung Galaxy SIII (Sprint) Any easy way to root? Not seeing me going to a custom ROM anytime soon.
Motorola needs to make a Nexus device. The Xoom was amazingly built, though the screen could've been far better.

So recently my GS3 ATT's charging port has been acting up. It will only charge when held in one position and often flickers between charging and not. Laying in bed while using my phone is impossible and it's unfortunately starting to put a damper on my experience with this phone [editline]27th November 2012[/editline] Help

Or cable.

Then warranty.
Main thing I hate about the GSIII - You need to install drivers to do anything sync related on a computer. Like, not Windows Update drivers, but a iTunes look-alike that won't detect my phone. Grr.
you should be able to put it into USB storage mode and copy over whatever you need
