The more I used that red theme, the more I hated it

Dolphin doesn't hide it either, maybe its because I'm using a tablet (sumvision titan)?

You need to turn on/install a small add-on called full screen in order to hide the notification bar.
But wait, you are using a tablet, I think that's where your problem is because full screen with hiding notification bar only works on phones(?)...

Some custom roms have it as a power menu option, that is it as far as I know
What would be perfect is an S3 dock, with a C-Pen holder
I can't find one though, oh well that's just luxuries :v:
I found a guide telling me how to upgrade my HTC ChaCha to ICS and it says that it should be factory unlocked. It's on a pay monthly contract from Virgin Mobile. I have no idea what a factory unlock is, is it 100% vital to the custom firmware working properly or should I just try it as is and see what happens

please don't beat me up for not knowing how to android

An attempt to clean up TouchWiz on Jelly Bean.
Toggle icons are low-res, and the slider is unfitting, but it really doesn't look to bad.

if it's locked it means the phone will only function with a virgin mobile sim, unlocked phones work with an carrier and don't have any carrier bloatware or branding
Get a new cable and try again. If not, time to warranty.

I think volume up down is up and down, and the power key is select

trying to unlock the bootloader of this HTC PoS so I can root it, but for whatever reason the drivers for it aren't installed on Windows. Not a problem I thought, I installed HTC Sync which is supposed to install the appropriate drivers. After a bit of googling, I found that if in the Device Manager the phone is just listed as "Android Phone" with a yellow caution icon chances are that the drivers just aren't installed properly, and you need to edit an .inf file with the Hardware ID of your specific phone. I went to try this, and found that the drivers aren't even installed at all.
What the fuck HTC? How do I fix this?

Open the Device Manager.
Right-click on My Computer (Windows XP) or Computer (Windows Vista/7).
Click on Manage.
Click on Device Manager on the left.
You will probably see Unknown Device with ADB listed under it with a yellow exclamation mark.
Right-click on ADB.
Click on "Update Driver Software".
Click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
Click on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
Click on "Have Disk".
Click on "Browse".
Navigate to "C:\android-sdk-windows\google-usb_driver" and select "android_winusb.inf".
Click on "Android ADB Interface".
NOTE: You will get an Update Driver Warning, click on "Yes".
At least that's what solved my problem when I was tinkering with my phone.
You need to have Android SDK installed.

Thanks for this, I'll give it a go now.
The Nexus 4 should be back up for order any second now (in the US at least), I'm hoping to grab a bumper case since I neglected one on my initial order.
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
And it's back! The bumper still says sold out, though.
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
And it's going in and out of stock already, all in a matter of two and a half minutes.
[editline]27th November 2012[/editline]
Sold out and staying that way now, looks like. 6 minutes.
The Nexus 4 will never be in stock, I'm still waiting to get it.
I've had no phone for 2 weeks now since my S3 broke, and my iPhone 4 is locked to the wrong carrier (waiting for unlock).
Whatever ROM im running now is fucked up, whenever I skip the activation, go through all the steps and everything at the end it tells me to force close it or whatever
So i'm trying to flash a new rom and it keeps telling me it needs an update script, any idea where I can get one?
does anyone have a working link for velocity 1.2?
-snip fixed-
I have this one friend who keeps posting on twitter things like "If my parents bought me a windows phone instead of an iPhone, I would of put a drill through it!" (her words)
Id be happy if my parents bought me a Nokia 3310, just because they would of bought it for me
I'm gonna give the 4.2 camera a try by flashing a zip soon...
Samsung really let people down when it came to the S3's accessories. They promised wireless charging, where is it? Where are the good official docks like I had for my S2? Even the case had some weird bulky bit you could use a coin as a stand, that's pointless.
why do so many useful apps come with some ugly-as-sin notification bar icon...
Welp, if you go onto the Google Play website right now, it says...
Google Play is currently experiencing very high traffic. Nexus 4 is not sold out and will still be available for purchase. Please try again shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Confusing as fuck for everyone that isn't in the US
I just updated to 4.2 and Android has decided that it should violate my nova launcher. Aww man.
looks like google has managed to get enough stock in
play store running smoothly, no alert about stock still existing
Ordered my Nexus 4.
Very happy now. I have the confirmation and everything

No change in the Australian Play Store for the N4 or 32GB N10, still sold out. Fucking Google.
