This is becoming a pain in the arse now. HTC ChaCha, Bootloader is unlocked (S-ON for some reason but definitely unlocked), definitely rooted, trying to use CWM to install a ChaCha mod of CM9 but I'm getting a black screen with an icon of a phone and a red triangle. After clicking some buttons, "Android System Recovery 3e" comes up with the options "reboot system now, apply update from sdcard, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition". I've tried cache wipe and data wipe and then gone for apply update option and it just gives me an error and reboots the phone. CM9 and Google Apps are in .zip files in the sd card root. I'm off too bed now but hopefully someone can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong.
Anyone got some good Calendar apps? The Google one is light on features and I don't like it that much, DigiCal has some bugs here and there but it's pretty good overall and I'm using it now, Business Calendar is pretty good but the UI is so old and ugly, waiting for ICS+ remake. Nalty, please make a mock up of something to save everyone's eyes!

It's a second level of protection that protects your radio and kernel firmware, and it's much more of a pain to disable. You should still be able to flash ROMs, but you often have to flash boot.img a second time.

I installed a custom ROM for the first time on my GS3, and holy shit that speed. Not that Jelly Bean TouchWiz was fast, but I'm seeing 0 lag.

Not to ruin any parades or anything but the new 4.2 is horrible. I have it flashed on my gnex and it just runs horribly with many bugs. Not to mention with many complaints with the new Nexus 4 having touch responsive issues. Its always something to look into.

does jb offer a lot of features/speed over ics? i was wondering if it was worth updating my tablet, usually i would just update but i looked at the instructions and they seemed rather convoluted so i would rather not do it unless there are real benifits
yes it does
Slightly confused/annoyed with CM10 on my HTC One XL. I don't know if I have 4G LTE or not. It shows either 3G, H, or H+ next to the signal, never anything like a 4 or 4G or anything.
I always get "h" on mobile data where is "h" in terms of speed
I always get "h" on mobile data where is "h" in terms of speed
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Speed_Packet_Access Better than 3G
I always get "h" on mobile data where is "h" in terms of speed
3.5G in ghetto terminology.
I always assumed H was 4G and H+ was LTE i may or may not be wrong
4G = LTE.
4G = LTE.
4G =/= LTE In terms of networks anyway.
Installed clean Android on my One X. It's beautiful.

4G = LTE.
no they're pretty different things just plain ol' "4G" is...uh...well i'm not entirely sure what AT&T uses, but LTE is different for sure (especially since they've been marketing LTE for a few months to a year at least, and we only just got the actual LTE network here in the Seattle area like a month ago)
Well then I love being lied to at AT&T stores. :v:
Want to root my HTC Desire (which is still on Android 2.2.2) so I can at least move to an Android 2.3 ROM, and get rid of the bloatware apps (Facebook mainly). However, after looking around, I have no idea what the best options are. XDA Developers forum threads are full of jargon, many different methods and dead links. I have no idea what'd be best for my phone. Any guides or recommendations you guys can give me?

It depends what region you bought your phone, just follow one of these guides wherever you live. Something that annoys me with the Android roms is this icon.

So ugly and so out of place.
