Galaxy Note is great! My only complaint is that the standard ROM is made for blind people - nothing that a bit of rooting magic can't fix.
YOU DON'T EVEN KNOw
So I'm getting some pretty bad battery life on my S3 (bought today), It's charging through usb while transfering some files to it and it drains battery faster than it charges it, aka it went from 88% to 72% while CHARGING.
I wonder if Ignhelper has like 7 Nexus 4's already.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=34433209&postcount=1
That's actually what I've been using p. much, since afaik it's identical to Flinny's ~build 128.
I wonder if Ignhelper has like 7 Nexus 4's already.
And maybe a few Note 2's.
Once again, make sure you haven't lost your IMEI, I said this the last time someone posted on here about a GS3 that couldn't get LTE.
Nope it's still showing m IMEI in status.

Also your usb port might just not output enough.
Yeah, USB ports can output as little as 150 mA.
Battery isn't used to being used yet. Also your usb port might just not output enough.
My usb port was fine for my S2, so might just be as you said. thanks though.
My usb port was fine for my S2, so might just be as you said. thanks though.
They don't require the same though, hence why the S3 has a much larger battery.
Yeah, USB ports can output as little as 150 mA.
So why does it seem like an AC charger charges faster than a normal USB port on a computer?
I flashed ICS based AOKP ROM on my Desire Z. Works much better than Jelly Bean, though there's nothing I can do about the lag. It's not like there wasn't any lag on Gingerbread. I have to get used to the ICS scrolling now. On Gingerbread it felt much faster, smoother and natural.
So why does it seem like an AC charger charges faster than a normal USB port on a computer?
Because it outputs 5V/0.7A.
So why does it seem like an AC charger charges faster than a normal USB port on a computer?
USB = 300mA Normal Charger is usally 1A or 2A

Also scrolling in menus is made faster to try and mask lag by getting the animation over with in a fast manner.
USB = 300mA Normal Charger is usally 1A or 2A
I knew it, I fucking knew it. Damn friends say using an A/C Charger makes no difference. The funny thing is, we were in Computer Tech class and they were considerably techy...
The funny thing is, we were in Computer Tech class and they were considerably techy...
I was sent to another country because of my IT skills and yet I couldn't give half a shit about the specs of phone chargers. This is the "Computer guy can fix toasters" syndrome at work! Usually you don't see it here though. EDIT: Unless you study with EE people, in which case disregard what I said.
$800? Ouch. Which country? In Canada you can get it for $650 brand new, or $550 "like new" on Craigslist/Kijiji
Sweden, everything is expensive here though. 5190 SEK the phone was. around 6000 SEK is 1000$ and you can build a great PC for that in the US, in sweden? Try 10000SEK+ for a good PC, my GPU alone was like 5000SEK. (Sorry if any of this sounds like "bragging", just trying to compare prices a bit, we do earn a decent amount though so prices are sort of balanced. )
$800? Ouch. Which country? In Canada you can get it for $650 brand new, or $550 "like new" on Craigslist/Kijiji
Less than $550 on Kijiji here. Android phones depreciate in value way faster than Apple products do, although not as badly as Windows Phones did. [editline]29th November 2012[/editline] Searched Galaxy S3. Right on the first page there's one for $380 listed an hour ago.
yea, i bought my s3 without contract for 980 dollars
yea, i bought my s3 without contract for 980 dollars
That's a lotta money...
you dont say?
yea, i bought my s3 without contract for 980 dollars
holy shit that's basically the price of a surface PRO with 128 GB that can run Windows programs
$1,000 is waaaayy too much for consumer electronics...
$1,000 is waaaayy too much for consumer electronics...
Yeah we got consumer DSLR's that jump to the thousands and the same with computers, TV's laptops, GPS, Entertainment systems, stuff like that.
well its the currency
Yeah we got consumer DSLR's that jump to the thousands and the same with computers, TV's laptops, GPS, Entertainment systems, stuff like that.
Aside from TV's, I suppose. But I wouldn't pay 1,000 bucks for a computer, let alone a phone. Shit, I got my computer used. 400 bucks, sold new for 900, and it was out of the box for a week. Craigslist is awesome.
I walked past one of those cheap phone accessory stands while in town today, this one offered cases, styli, repairs and such, and I saw a guy frantically poking an iPhone 3GS, as I walked closer he had a computer in front of him on a youtube video titled "How to fix iPhone 3GS screen" :v: [editline]30th November 2012[/editline]
yea, i bought my s3 without contract for 980 dollars
that's practically double what I payed.. You best keep it in mint condition so you can sell it for some money back later, that's my plan :v:
There's one thing I've been wondering. Wouldn't the S-Pen for Note 2 be useless if one would flash a custom ROM on the phone?
There's one thing I've been wondering. Wouldn't the S-Pen for Note 2 be useless if one would flash a custom ROM on the phone?
I think CyanogenMod implemented some basic gesture support for the S-Pen and I believe in the long term there's a project to provide open source alternatives to some of the Samsung apps for it
