you didn't think about this?
[editline]30th November 2012[/editline]
I remember when I never had mobile data, got it now and I'm not sure how I managed without it
Also, google now is amazing, way more responsive than Siri, I can't wait till it has access to twitter posts, full phone control and whatnot
My Desire Z has some leaking backlight on the left side of the screen.
It's really noticeable when the screen is black.
If you look at it sideways, the lcd screen is really curved.
I wonder what kind of a force could've done it, since the glass is untouched.

Mine has vague leaking at the top on full brightness but it's impossible to see normally, so that's definitely abnormal
I was really impressed how well this phone runs ICS.
I was pulled back to Earth when I tried to run Bad Piggies, though.
It crashed in the main menu and stuttered a lot.
Bad piggies runs perfectly fine on mine? but I'm running stock

Well, it is nice only paying $25 a month instead of $55, but I can't live without data either
Why yes, mobile data is indeed important.
*sobs

If you only care about ingress, don't bother. It's kinda hard to get into, and there's a bunch of lag. Where do you live again, Toronto? Toronto ingress is run by a few elites who are like Starcraft pros

Toronto has teh_pwnerer, it's all good.
It's basically a given, you're a beta testing customer for a technology that isn't mature. I don't see what the big overall issue is. The display has glaring issues that can be seen in every scenario, but something that only shows up in a given circumstance is what is complained about?
Its super hard fort me to get them to show up. like, the conditions have to be perfect.
Even then, I don't think its a defect. I think it looks structural.
Like, it doesn't look like a problem with the display itself, more like something that's supposed to be there.
Samsung going full retard again (called it MONTHS ago), just like with the S2 32GB which was also cancelled. How about actually releasing all versions on launch day? The people who wanted 64GB probably gave in and bought a smaller version + an SD card.

What's wrong with an SD card? That's exactly why the S3 is the only phone I like! 16 GB is plenty enough for apps, and media doesn't really bottleneck the SD transfer rate (except maybe 1080p, but that's what class 10 is for)

ftfy
no so bothered there is no 32gb version, just buy an SD card, thats the main reason i chose it over the nexus 4, that and the physical buttons
We have 64GB microsd cards that are getting cheaper and cheaper every day.
The problem is that Samsung is being stupid. Of course there would be demand for a 64GB version if they did actually release it on the same day as the rest, or very shortly after. They're just lying and promising shit they won't deliver, and this is not the first time, either.
[editline]30th November 2012[/editline]
Plus, obviously with a 64GB phone you could put a giant sd card inside and have way more space than 16/32GB + a 64 (or can the phone use a 128GB one?) SD cards.
I was in a phone shop today to cancel my contract turns out september 2013 is earlies date, fuck, also first world problems.
Anyway, had the S3 in my hands, really nice phone and I'd love it as a tablet/phone hybrid but all in all the seize felt a bit ridiculous for a phone. Smaller Phone + Table is clearly the better solution here.
For me.

Just because you want it doesn't mean there would be sufficient demand. You're making an entirely unsupported claim.
Hm, Googl Play Music says it encoutered "an error" when I tried streaming some music. Damn.

I've never heard anyone call the S3 a hybrid (phablet). Granted, it is just a quarter inch too big to be completely comfortable.
But the Note, which is actually a phablet, is even bigger and comes with a stylus and tablet oriented software.
It just felt really big, I'm used to my i9000
Salutations,
I've been to this thread some time ago with problems addressing custom ROM's. However, now I come with a more stressful problem.
The right earphone, for any pair of earphones, has less volume than the left earphone. The volume of the right earphone increases and decreases proportionally to the left one. I've addressed a phone technician in my area and he had no idea what the problem was. No app on my phone has a volume balancing option, and there's no volume balancing option in the phone's settings. All pairs of earphones were functioning normally on all other phones and other media players fine except mine.
I didn't attempt doing a factory reset because I've got a lot of settings which cannot be saved to a file (I'm looking at you, Lightning Launcher).
Do you guys have any ideas addressing my problem? I've considered modifying system files, but I don't know where to start.
My phone is a LG P690 (Optimus Net) with Android version 2.3.4.

Apple keeps making 64GB iPhones and iPads, they make more money than every other cell phone maker combined. There's your support, there's clearly a market for them, even if it's small.
And no, the fact that you can put an SD card in the S3 is not an argument because regardless of how fast it is, it's not as fast as the memory in the phone. Apps on it will load slower, like you said it could have issues with high bitrate videos, etc etc.

I can't even use the equalizer...

sounds like a hardware problem with the audio jack
The first thing I'm going to do on Note 2 (if I'll ever buy it) is to install Sketchbook Mobile and do some art.
sounds like a hardware problem with the audio jack
I took the phone apart and checked the contacts with a multimeter - the resistance of the ground, left and right contacts are equal.
halp, i accidently fell and bought one.

I don't want it, in fact I never really wanted an S3. I'm just saying that Samsung makes a bullshit promise and half a year later they make a bullshit excuse for why they won't stick to their plan.
Also, Kaabii's comment.
