BaconReader updated to 2.2, yay. Also it's on sale for $0.99, double yay!
what is that
what is that
Apparently a reddit client. I guess that would make sense given the name.
BaconReader updated to 2.2, yay. Also it's on sale for $0.99, double yay!
Just bought it. Thanks for letting us know! Still got some Google credit left over from my Nexus 7 purchase.
Just bought it. Thanks for letting us know! Still got some Google credit left over from my Nexus 7 purchase.
There's also other Reddit clients like Reddit is Fun, Reddit News, Reddit Sync and a few others that are pretty awesome too. As of now I'm hooked on BaconReader
I used to use BaconReader but it became sorta buggy and ugly since it was bought out by OneLouder. My favourite is Reddit News.
From what I've read, the Kindle doesn't seem that good (screen, app choice, hardware, etc...) compared to the Nexus 7, even if I'm buying a tablet mostly "for reading".
For reading there is NOTHING better than e ink After reading a book on an ereader its impossible to go back to the tablet screen [editline]25th September 2012[/editline]
BaconReader updated to 2.2, yay.
For reading there is NOTHING better than e ink After reading a book on an ereader its impossible to go back to the tablet screen
This is why I'm waiting for the Kindle Paperwhite (or the Kobo Glo if the Kindle doesn't come to Canada quickly)
Reddit news is a million times better
I like Reddit News too but I can't press the down comments button to go to the next post the second time without moving. Also I hate how I have to swipe a thread to get to the comments only on the subreddits.
This is why I'm waiting for the Kindle Paperwhite (or the Kobo Glo if the Kindle doesn't come to Canada quickly)
I am pretty sure you can order the kindle to canada from the us website That's how I got my first one
I'm sure it's been brought up a thousand times, but is fixing the Galaxy S3 Drain Bug worth rooting my phone? With moderate use, my phone only lasts 10-11 hours.

That's only a display bug, where it has miscalculated the battery usage, there's no actual battery drain.
dass, you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424358
Also tried that, and superoneclick aswell. With superoneclick, it just stops after step 7 or something, and says "waiting for device". With rootme, it SUPPOSEDLY does everything right, but nothing actually changes, even though it says "congratz, your phone is rooted bla bla bla" Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Maybe I'm forgetting something?
You mean where it shows standby usage being high? so i used a nexus 7 for the first time DDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMM i need one now goodbye galaxy tab 10.1 [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] oh and how do i sell electronics on ebay?
oh and how do i sell electronics on ebay?
Big colourful fonts with tons of exclamation marks. Emphasize ALL the features no matter how insignificant.
I've been using the stock Gingerbread on my Droid X2 and rooted it for the past year now and was looking for a new Rom to check out, I've seen CM10 which looks good any other Roms I should know of? And are there any that have better performance then stock? As well as a guide on installing it, I've never attempted to do this but always wanted to so I've finally decided to, thanks.
Using Google Drive, man editing on the Android app is a pain in the ass. I can't edit when I open in OfficeSuite Pro 6 from Google Drive, I can only view, but when I use OfficeSuite and open it using the apps cloud storage access, I can edit, but it's a mess to find, no folders or anything, wtffffff
I found the buttons to be a bit too small on the Ion, I tried gliding and such, I had to look down and press it to activate it... It's still a pretty good phone.
One of the best free contract phones imo, I felt the Xperia S had smaller buttons I guess because I have no problem with the Ion at all. I use my phone with one hand most of the time, I don't look when I glide my finger. Sony should have removed the search button and centered the 3 buttons and made it bigger.
Quick question for you smarties. Looking at budget phones, and my eye came to the T-Mobile Vivacity (ZTE Crescent or whatever) and the Samsung Galaxy Ace. The only differences I can notice is that the Vivacity has more ram, and the Ace has a better build quality. Is there something I'm missing? The Vivacity seems like much better value.

Although, they both only have 160 MB of internal storage, which is horrible. It's going to annoy you to no end if you install more than 20 apps (even though most can be moved to SD, they still leave stuff on the internal storage, like the dalvik-cache files). After having used a phone with 160MB (the Gravity Smart), I'd rather buy a horribly scratched used phone than a new "budget" phone. Can you get an HTC Desire C for around the same price? I know people have complained about it, but at least it has 4 GB internal storage.

I already have the Orange version, got it because it was piss-easy to root. The internal storage did bother me until I got that move-to-SD thing. And I asked about the Galaxy Ace because my friend keeps going on about how his Ace is better than my San Fran, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something... Is the Vivacity also easy to root? Since that was a big draw with my phone. Also, one more thing. My phone seems to be faulty, the screen just went black. I can send it to ZTE, since manufacturers warranty and such. But would me having rooted it and such have voided that?

If the screen is black but the phone still turns on and connects through USB, then try to use the "Unroot" button in SuperOneClick.

And I'm not familiar with this SuperOneClick.
Get it here. http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/ [editline]26th September 2012[/editline] Ah crud, SuperOneClick is failing to unroot it...
There's literally a site that walks you through it.
3.55GB at 2G speeds v:v:v
Isn't it 5GB of 4G and then unlimited 3G? [editline]26th September 2012[/editline] Nevermind, just saw that it's 2G on T-mo's site. How fast is "2G speeds", then? I'm looking into getting a Galaxy Nexus from the Play store and the $30/month 100min talk unlimited text and web with 5GB of 4G prepaid plan from them.
