I bet some custom rom (AOKP?) could do that, or a root app. But it's AFAIK impossible to force it [del]engine[/del] system wise with a regular app. Launcher can do it only in the launcher etc. edit: Did I really write "engine wise"? I think I need to stop playing games for a while.
yeah ofc a custom rom, I don't expect an app to do that GoLauncher has an option to hide the status bar if I remember, don't know if you can even use it though
An app that requires root still might be able to do it. heck, there's a bunch of gesture apps, I'm sure one of them can bind a gesture (swipe from the absolute top of display would be ideal) to make it appear and hide it otherwise.
Still no sign of a Jelly Bean RUU for my One X, wow
I bet the S2 will get an official rollout of 4.1.2 on more devices before the One X does :v:

HTC have a NEW phone to play with, the onex+ duh, the onex is old hat (sarcasm intended, but the message is true)
Hmm. Which one to choose then? LG Nexus 4 or Xperia V. I really like Sony phones, but I want to up to date with the latest and greatest android without custom UIs.
The Xperia V costs more but has a microsd slot, the better camera and is water resistant but has lower end specifications.
Quick question guys, I've overclocked my ZTE Blade and it runs quite a bit faster now, but still not enough. Would installing CynanogenMod make it even faster or is the difference negligible?
I was thinking about this yesterday, is there a way to make it so the status bar is hidden all the time and can be shown by dragging down or tapping (like in windows phone) then pulled down again to drop it all the way down that would help burn in surely?
Burn in is the best on my Samsung Focus. Because I like blue, my UI consists of big blue tiles which are now visible in every app if you look for them. It's like a darkened grid.
my UI consists of big blue tiles
Windows Phone and AMOLED The relationship that was never meant to happen.
compared to htc, LG, or windows phone I guess. windows phone looks boring and I want to root my galaxy S3 (if I were to buy one) to have android 4.2.2 is the supposedly cheap plastic backing really that bad? and what are the pros/cons of the samsung galaxy S3 in general?
There is no 4.2.2, latest is 4.2.1 from November 27.
Does anyone know if a single hair under a screen protector can just go away? I really don't want to go 2 miles just to get it replaced.
No. You should start applying them in an area where there isn't hair flying around.
No. You should start applying them in an area where there isn't hair flying around.
I can't take it off... Oh well, whatever. It's a GhostArmor by the way
The Xperia V costs more but has a microsd slot, the better camera and is water resistant but has lower end specifications.
Shit I'd buy it just because it is water resistant, Xperia V has LTE while the Nexus 4 doesn't.
I can't take it off... Oh well, whatever. It's a GhostArmor by the way
I know. I'm saying next time you do it, think about what you're doing. You said this is the second time it has happened. Maybe after two hairs you'll do it in a more sanitary area next time.
Are there any screen protectors that are smooth to the finger like the phone screen is? I love how my finger glides across my phone but all the screen protectors have been rough-ish to move your finger across
I can't take it off... Oh well, whatever. It's a GhostArmor by the way
top tip take a shower, let bathroom get all steamy (getting in shower is optional) immediately after shower, apply screen protector in bathroom [editline]2nd December 2012[/editline]
Are there any screen protectors that are smooth to the finger like the phone screen is? I don't have one though yet, so read what you want from that
Are there any alternatives to Kies for a Galaxy 3/i5800? It seems to not want to connect to the device via USB; has spent the last half hour trying to connect. Also, how would I go about getting a custom ringtone on it, specifically one of my .mp3s? It seems to allow only selecting from the default set. EDIT: Turns out the front USB socket on my PC is buggered. I'd like to know how to change the ringtone to a custom one, though.
If there's anything under the screen protector, get some tape and peel off a corner and get some more tape, fold it so the sticky side is pointing outwards and dab the dust/hair off. Works every time with that screen protector film that comes with the phone that I'm supposed to peel off with that big red flap (which no longer exists since it fell off). Still waiting another week or so for the protectors (5 of them) I bought off eBay. So soon because the one I have right now is still the one you are supposed to peel off and it has tons of scratches on it. At least it's smooth.

It's the wet application process that once you take it off, it doesn't work
I don't think that'll work for ghostarmor. It's the wet application process that once you take it off, it doesn't work
In that case, if I bought it at those small stores I would tell them to fix it since you cannot fix it yourself.
Took a pretty cool photo today. Turned out to be a nice wallpaper too.

Noise or not, still a great picture.
Nexus 4 still can't sync, "Sync is currently exerperiencing problems" GG

If the former, I haven't a clue how to access it :c
Nexus 4 still can't sync, "Sync is currently exerperiencing problems" GG
I got that after I changed my password, there was a notification to update my credentials though and it picked right back up after I entered them
