really haven't gotten into making my phone awesome until recently, went from stock 2.3.4 to a ROM called supernexus (I have absolutely no idea if this thread is familiar with that ROM) running 4.1.2 and got nova launcher as well not up to speed on this stuff at all, so could anybody give me some pointers on the useful stuff I should have now that I'm on jellybean? I'm working with the AT&T galaxy S II

Reminds me of when there was a build of Ice Cream Sandwich for my Droid Eris, released very shortly after the Galaxy Nexus. Actually I'm pretty sure this video was within a couple days of the Galaxy Nexus release. How the fuck do you get that as a system message
Their website lists a bunch of codes you can "call" to get info messages like that. That one was #646# (#MIN#). [editline]4th December 2012[/editline] there's also #BAL# for balance
How the fuck do you get that as a system message
Carrier specific ROM add on? I dunno I get these too sometimes.
"Connection problem or invalid MMI code." I'm on T-Mobile NL. Nice system message nonetheless :v:
Carrier specific ROM add on? I dunno I get these too sometimes.
I have an unlocked Nexus 4. It says "USSD code running" after I dial the number and before the message appears.

The reviews of the Nexus 4 are so mixed. Some say the battery is good, some say it's bad, some say the build quality is poor, some say the build quality is bad, some say the camera is good, some say the camera is bad. I have no idea what to think.
How the fuck do you get that as a system message
Must be something with the SIM or SMS, I got these messages when using a free O2 sim on my Nexus S. It reminded me how much data I had per day and such.

I'm sure with Tasker I can make it a popup deal but lazy
i thought the build quality was like real good?
I don't think I've seen anyone apart from PyroCF (rattling power button) complain about the build quality yet. Maybe the fact that it slides everywhere, that's been mentioned a lot. yeah, glass shatters, big surprise.
Don't forget about how much people disliked using tape in the back and how much people have no idea how electronics are built.

Don't know why manufacturers do it, it was terrible on the S2.
Mine (on the S2) still looks identical to when I opened the case on day one, and I dropped my S2 a couple of times already, even though I try to be super careful (because expensive technology deserves that). What in the hell do you people do with your phones?

What in the hell do you people do with your phones?
The only real drop was from a friend with an S3 and it was a good feet onto the desk, causing a small dent on the body, nothing too damaging but my heart broke a little when I heard the impact. Nothing else broke at least. That same friend has that otter box case for his S3 and he throws his S3 EVERYWHERE. Enter a room? He slaps it onto your chest, or throws it at you. And deliberately swipes it onto the ground. The friend with a Nexus S drops his ton's of times.
Today, I saw a guy holding his galaxy S3 in one hand over a banister on the third story 3 floors directly above a stone tile floor I cringed and gurned as I walked past him, I probably looked like a right idiot but sheesh
i just ordered a nexus 7! :)
