I set my Nexus 4 on the table. Next thing I know I see it slowly sliding itself across the table as if it has a great fucking journey it has to take part of. I'm scared to set it down now. gotta get a phone case elsewise it'll do the goddamn electric slide and shatter itself on the floor
The latest version of TouchWiz is beautiful, performant and useful; I don't know what people have against it. Stock is still awkward to me (although it's getting much better), and I really hate the holo icons (the blue pointy Wi-Fi, cell and battery levels) The new TouchWiz follows a lot of the good parts of holo, compared to Sense which follows none of it
It also looks insanely cartoony IMO.
It also looks insanely cartoony IMO.
It doesn't help that the colors are so overblown on Samsung's AMOLED displays to make it looks even more gaudy.
My friends get issues with their speakers buzzing when their phones are placed near them. I've never had it happen so it was strange. You can even tell when it's a text or a call coming in because the buzz is slightly different. Probably a combo of the phone + horrible speakers = interference.
FCC rules "contains a general provision that devices may not cause interference and must accept interference from other sources". [editline]7th December 2012[/editline] And the GSM buzzing should only happen on TDMA based cell tech.
I have used touchwiz a bit, and don't really care for it, but it is not too bad. Lg's optimus ui is pretty good, except for a couple things. 1. I can't delete homescreens, or set which one is the main one. 2. From what I hear it doesn't update ever.
So basically just 2G GSM.
Yep. It's incredibly hard to make it happen anymore.
I've had my Nexus 4 for 2 days. Just discovered the thin plastic covering the back and peeled it off. also, i got a nexus 4
Family Locator? Dear god no. Is there any way I could get Find My Device back?
It's there way of getting more monies out of you, but it's probably just the ROM if you're using the one already on your phone
How do I re-download games bought from the Gameloft Shop? You can re-download your game to THE SAME DEVICE (the same phone model and IMEI) with THE SAME PHONE NUMBER within 3 years of your purchase.
Bullshit... why can't it be a different device with the same phone number
Bullshit... why can't it be a different device with the same phone number
because people will steal phone numbers to pirate gameloft games. (I guess that's the insane logic behind it)
Gameloft Shop
There's your answer :v:

I've been wondering if I should stop looking for the perfect Android phone (for my needs) and buy Lumia 920. I'd still keep my Desire Z, maybe overclock it, so that I can keep tinkering with it. But with the Windows Phone I could do all my daily things, whatever I do with a phone.
Coming from the Desire Z keyboard straight to the windows phone touch keyboard was a weird experience in my short time using it
After installing Swiftkey I've rarely needed the hardware keyboard. Now that I've flashed ICS on the phone it hardly works anymore, all the more reason for using software keyboard.
After installing Swiftkey I've rarely needed the hardware keyboard. Now that I've flashed ICS on the phone it hardly works anymore, all the more reason for using software keyboard.
I love the hardware keyboard, I can type out a text by just feeling the keys, so I can keep walking and not bump into people, or occasionally tap out a message under the table while staring at my college lecturer so it looks as if I'm paying attention (She's old and rambles a lot, so I just take notes then zone out before starting the work as she starts rambling about her children) Plus when swiftkey was installed it messed up the hardware keyboard so I had to get rid of it [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] Oh I forgot to say! my local bus stops have NFC and you can scan your phone to see if the bus is on time or not :v:
Bus stops with NFC? What kind of futuristic utopia do you live in?
Bus stops with NFC? What kind of futuristic utopia do you live in?
No, idea, apparently we've had them for a while because they've got that green mould that old signs get over time growing on them I'll get a picture when I get my S3, my DZ camera is pathetic and would be a blurry mess
How long should a NEXUS 7 take to boot up? my mum has the 16gb one and it can take anywhere from 20-30 seconds before you see the google logo or it wont boot until you've pressed and held the button down multiple times, yet in the manual it says 10 seconds? Is it faulty? she only has 3 apps on there and the preinstalled ones so its nowhere near full
we have readers for these things called "ORCA cards" which are where bus passes live, you can also put money on them and what not i think they run on NFC
The best technological advantage of some of the public transit stops over here are displays that show when the next vehicle is coming, and they are always completely wrong. Fuck this, I want NFC stops :C
I can just use Google Now to figure out when the next thing is coming

The Nexus 7 isn't fast at booting up but it only takes 1 second for the Google logo to appear on mine, then about 25 seconds to boot fully.

What is the best phone out there now (or near Christmas/after Christmas [birthday is in Jan]) running Android that will be around 200 bucks to buy with a plan. It's so confusing looking around. So far I'm thinking about the S3.
Bullshit... why can't it be a different device with the same phone number
>Gameloft >Online Shop You're doing it wrong. Just bitch about it at their horrendous customer support and they might send you it or compensation games. I have a total of 4 right now. [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] As in they owe me 4 games. [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] As in bitch like Ezhlik and his tabs. [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] And don't buy anything or even touch their online shop. There is no confirmation if you press the buy button so once you press it even by accident, you get charged on your phone bill right away and there's no way to cancel it. I've tried. I've went back and forth between support, no dice.
well I just bought one game because Rogers put a trial of it on my phone... it's only $5 Oh and Samsung phones really can't display white on low brightness... HTC is amazing at that [editline]8th December 2012[/editline] What would cause a phone (SGS3) to not show up on the Google Play website? EDIT: Weird, it's showing up now after I updated to 4.1.1
