I don't get how this is a downside. Yes, for a power user it's great to swap batteries n' shit, but even the "power users" aka XDAers regularly buy piles of crap like a "2400 mAh" battery that is the same size as the OEM 1230 mAh battery and claim that they doubled their battery life. It's fucking sad.
If someone drops the phone by accident in water, what do?
That was something I never understood Why doesn't Android come with a stock note app
XDA users only care about the battery capacity value... [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
That was something I never understood Why doesn't Android come with a stock note app
Because everyone else would make a better one. The Xperia T and others have that cool little note taking app that you can access when switching apps which is cool. (you broke my auto merge ^_^) [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
Holy shit, people on Swiftkey's VIP forums are freakin' terrible about reading forum rules...
At least it is better than XDA. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
why are you not in ics wtf
Sony dropped official ICS for the Xperia play and yet I got it. I believe there's a beta ROM on their developer site.
I use my phone extensively for extended periods of time (my average day is about 12 hrs which typically exceeds the battery of most phones) so having the ability to change the battery for me is a major plus because I know I can make it through the day and I feel much safer when I charge it frequently. It's actually one of the reasons I chose an S3 over an HTC One X or a Nexus 4.
Who ever took that picture of the train with their Nexus 4 please go post it in here as my review needs it! http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1231622
If someone drops the phone by accident in water, what do?
cry
If someone drops the phone by accident in water, what do?
Turn it off asap, stick it in a bag of rice, hope that the battery still being connected doesn't do anything bad. Next time: DON'T DROP PHONES IN THE WATER WHAT ARE YOU DOING.
Stuff happens
Hello an android noob here When is the Jelly Bean coming to SGS2?
Hello an android noob here When is the Jelly Bean coming to SGS2?
Pretty soon, there's some leaks of the official one so that's a good sign.
Pretty soon, there's some leaks of the official one so that's a good sign.
That's great, been waiting for it for quite a while now
The last official mention was that it would be released in November, but Samsung went silent after that, and there's rumors floating that it will either be December or early January. (for the International version, i9100. The US carrier variants and others will get some time after that)
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to go back to stock on my One XL. CM10 is giving me issues with the camera, bad. High pitched whine while recording video, can't change any settings because if I do and then take a picture the phone locks up, app crashes and I have to reboot.
Stock isn't to bad on the One XL I've heard, quicker than the One X anyways.
You heard wrong. The Snapdragon One X and One S with Sense feel like the Nexus One in comparison to the Snapdragon GS3 despite running the same damn CPU.
You heard wrong. The Snapdragon One X and One S with Sense feel like the Nexus One in comparison to the Snapdragon GS3 despite running the same damn CPU.
That's the one.
Noob question: how would I go about getting the stock ROM back on there? Go to the bootloader and choose factory reset? [editline]9th December 2012[/editline] Alternatively, is there any way to make it so there ISN'T an ear splitting noise when recording video and so that the camera app WON'T crash if I change a setting?

You have to sacrifice a goat and use your phone as a fiddle whilst dancing, then you are ready. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966371 Obviously use your One XL files
Wow. Well I think I'm gonna have to deal with the camera issues then cause fuck all that shit.
Wow. Well I think I'm gonna have to deal with the camera issues then cause fuck all that shit.
Just flash a custom stock-based ROM like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868236 [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
You heard wrong. The Snapdragon One X and One S with Sense feel like the Nexus One in comparison to the Snapdragon GS3 despite running the same damn CPU.
95% guarantee that it isn't driver issues, but a combination of animations that show lag (the GS3's animations move so fast a frame skipping isn't noticeable, just compare the "back to home" anim from an extreme left/right homescreen.), and HTC having a ton of cruft in a lot of places for their apps. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline]
If someone drops the phone by accident in water, what do?
Take the phone out of water, shut it off immediately, open it up and disconnect the battery. Submerge the whole device in 99% alcohol (as pure as you can find), and then seal it up in a back with a bunch of desiccant packets. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline] Also, WP8 has a shitload of swoopy animations and shit, definitely nothing like Android.
You can't take out the battery if it's a non-removable one on the phone.
You can't take out the battery if it's a non-removable one on the phone.
Nonremovable does not mean that the damn thing is soldered to the PCB. You can take the battery out if it matters that much. [editline]9th December 2012[/editline] Dr. Deeps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946784 That's another good ROM if you want a stock experience. I would find a mod to change the icons back to non-xda theme style though.
You would have to rip it out...
Anyone else having issues with Google Music not showing your online library? Yes, I have connectivity and no, "hide unavailable music" isn't checked. It's just plain not there. Play Store works fine, so what gives [editline]9th December 2012[/editline] going into settings and tapping "refresh" appears to have fixed it still wtf was that about
Nonremovable does not mean that the damn thing is soldered to the PCB. You can take the battery out if it matters that much.
Still doesn't excuse not spending that extra millimeter on making it easily removable.
Thanks babe.
omg i was joking ur still a meanie tho
It's been months and the EVO 4G LTE hasn't gotten JB. I feel sad for those guys. [sub][sub][sub]...Not really[/sub][/sub][/sub]
