So recently my Bionic stopped charging, and would only charge with the cord in the port at a certain angle, now it has stopped altogether and I had to have Verizon activate my old phone (Samsung Alias 2). Is my port fucked? Is there a different problem (I've tried multiple chargers/cords)? Is there a cheap solution (Out of warranty)?
I wonder if I should move back to Gingerbread or something. ICS is nice, but when my phone's not in the mood, doing simple tasks take like 20 seconds or more. That's really annoying when all you want to do is to type in the address bar.
Are you on the official software?
Are you on the official software?
Well, I'm using SwiftKey Flow beta, but usually it works fine. The problem isn't just the keyboard, but normal tasks like pressing buttons, going to the homescreen and something like that. I've flashed AOKP ICS build on my Desire Z.
Okay guys I have a question regarding the nexus 7 I am looking for a tablet and I've already scaled down my choices to either the iPad mini or the nexus 7, the nexus 7 appeals me a lot in fact I've been doing some research and it definitely fits well into its price range but i want to know 1. App up-scaling, how many apps actually support the 7" screen without being blown up, even if they are blown up do most of them look nice (twitter, facebook etc.) 2. Is there any noticeable lag in the device or is it all smoothed out 3. is the front facing camera good quality 4. what is the battery life for moderate use (music, web browsing, app usage) 5. Should I get this device or wait until google makes another revision? Thanks guys

They function the same as it would on a phone, it's just larger buttons and such. 2. Is there any noticeable lag in the device or is it all smoothed out Depends on your eyes. I notice it, lots of people don't. Best way to know is to try in person 3. is the front facing camera good quality Relatively for a front camera 4. what is the battery life for moderate use (music, web browsing, app usage) I can't comment personally, but reviews actually put it at ~8-9 hours in tests where the full size iPad gets ten so it seems good. 5. Should I get this device or wait until google makes another revision? The only rumors of a revision or update relate to a cheaper slower one with an even lesser quality display Thanks guys
A lot of the batterys you can buy online are probably fake with half it's listed capacity.

Mine gets pretty laggy during web browsing. 3. Not really. It's fine for video calls, but pretty worthless for anything else. Google doesn't even include a camera app on it. 4. Battery life is actually pretty good. 5. Compared to other Nexus devices Google sells, it lacks RAM, which is pretty bad. I dunno really.
http://www.gsmarena.com/android_41_jelly_bean_for_asus_padfone_2_now_available-news-5179.php 4.1.1 jesus christ how hard would it be to merge 4.1.2 ffs it's shit like this that's making me go Nexus. I wonder if sometime in the future OEMs will lose a rather significant number of customers who are going to buy Nexus phones instead, and that will force OEMs to push out updates quicker.
Can anyone link me to a step-by-step tutorial on how to install ICS/Jelly Bean on my LG P920? Apparently, these lazy fucks don't know what android updates mean. I searched on Google, but most of those tutorials have the comment section filled with complaints and I really don't want to fuck up my phone.
Is rooting as easy as jailbreaking? I've been thinking about rooting my Samsung Infuse 4G, but i don't want to fuck it up.
I've been wondering if I should root my SGS2 but I'm afraid I'll fuck it up somehow. Anyone here kind enough to write me some kind of a guide about it? I tried googling around but everything I found seemed to be outdated info. [editline]10th December 2012[/editline] Or link me to an up-to-date guide
Is rooting as easy as jailbreaking? I've been thinking about rooting my Samsung Infuse 4G, but i don't want to fuck it up.
Rooting is a little more involved in the sense that not every phone has a "one-click root" app like jailbreaks often do. However, if you install the recovery menu and don't fuck that up, your pretty much in the clear. You could accidentally wipe the entire OS, and still be fine as long as you can boot into recovery mode.
So my friend got his screen protectors for his Nexus S and the corners won't stick, lol.

Does anyone live close to Eastern Canada and want a Nexus 7? Mine is basically new, and I'm not using it as much as I thought I would. I don't care if you're outside canada, but shipping will be less of a bitch to someone who isn't. Price is negociable. You can PM me with any offers. Comes with every accessory I can find, so that's at -least- the cable, USB charger, and probably the manuals are still in the box. Comes with said box.
A friend has a TF101, looks pretty good, he got it for cheap, too bad it's dual-core tegra 2 and 1gb ram, still pretty good.

After 3 weeks without LTE and trying various things to trouble shoot my GS3 on Verizon I restored it back to stock and locked everything and it seems that my SIM Card was faulty. New SIM and now blazing again on 4 bars of 4G LTE.
What storage size?
16gb
LLLLLLLLet's get ready to rumble!
you know the guy who originally said that tried to trademark it

Man, I can't wait to get my hands on the SGS2. I'm already planning way too much for it. Ordered one of those jig thingies (heck, it was like 2USD so I just threw it into the order), and an OTG cable. Managed to not buy one of those MHL cable things, because I would never use of those. Also, I'm thinking about doing a custom bootanimation, I just don't know exactly what I want. Or, well, I know exactly what I want but I have no way of getting it from source material in a usable way.
1GB ram gets me through for a mobile device tbh
I'd imagine you're used to iOS though judging from your post icon. RAM doesn't go as far on Android.
I'd imagine you're used to iOS though judging from your post icon.
1GB ram gets me through for a mobile device tbh
Yeah, I have 13 apps and background services running on my phone right now. That's more than I realistically need. 256 MB is the real definition of "lacking RAM".
Yeah, I have 13 apps and background services running on my phone right now. So what would save more RAM and battery: AOSP ROMs or Stock Rooted + Debloated? I hear some people say that AOSP gets shit battery life because it's not "optimized" for the device, but I can't be assed to run tests on it.
With Android 4.1+ it's apparently 512MB because the Nexus S is dropped and it's basically due to RAM issues on JB.
I could see that. Apparently 300 MB of RAM on my phone is being used by something else (I presume critical "don't mess with these" processes). That would really only leaves 200 MB for services and apps. Like you've said numerous times, Android isn't exactly light on its feet, and JB is no exception.
