I really like the new Google currents but it takes up to much space even when I move to sd card and I couldn't install or update stuff due top lie space and holy crap chrome is taking up so much damn space.
The GBCoid's "Original" scaling setting isn't terribly useful on the Galaxy Nexus... [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/gTYWw.jpg[/IMG] Luckily [URL="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.rin"]Rin Gameboy Emulator[/URL] has better scaling options that don't turn the game into a blurry mess.
I don't think it's scaled at all. I think one pixel in the game = one pixel on the phone. Shows the progress throughout the years, really.
That's what he's saying. Original scaling is pixel for pixel mapping. It's the original resolution of the game played on its respective device.

So my favorite app, Google Currents, was updated. The changes take a bit of getting used to, but I think they're for the better. It has a lot of polish and is pretty smooth, all things considered. Facebook updated as well. It's still a blown up phone app on my Nexus 7 but it's noticeably smoother and something is better than nothing I guess.
Discovered a shop in here that still had a Galaxy Nexus on display, but not only that, they still had 12 of them available. And here I was thinking the GN is not being sold anymore.
The new Currents app seems to sync much faster now. A welcome update!
My Spectrum 2 on ICS seems smoother than my friend's S3 on JB. Touchwiz seems to be at fault.
Google currents looks really good and I like it but it just takes up too much damn space on internal storage even though I've moved onto the sd card... Now about gba emulators...
Gameboid is the de facto standard.
[QUOTE=loophole;38855611]My Spectrum 2 on ICS seems smoother than my friend's S3 on JB. Touchwiz seems to be at fault.[/QUOTE] I think the S3 is either defective or your eyes are at fault, no offense. That really sounds impossible, since the S3 is basically the most fluid Android device out there.
Also I put my Fascinate on Cyanogenmod from stock and my battery life went through the shitter. It went from being able to go a straight week while asleep without charging to barely lasting a day.
Aw man I can't find gameboid anymore...
Also also, I think I found a bug with Steam Mobile. I think I'm being blocked so this person is offline on Steam desktop yet is visible and online on Steam mobile. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] I'm getting no luck in the automerge department today. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] [QUOTE=garychencool;38855994]Aw man I can't find gameboid anymore...[/QUOTE] I have the .apk sitting here. Should I upload it?
[QUOTE=Kaabii;38855860]I think the S3 is either defective or your eyes are at fault, no offense. The response time from when you hit the lock button, until when the screen comes on is slower. If you haven't opened something recently, it skips the animation when opening it. (ex: app drawer.) [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Turning off power save mode helped a little, but it is still not as fluid as my spectrum. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Just changed the animation scale to.5 and both seem much better. Now some things seem smoother on one, and some on the other.
Well the power saver mode intentionally cripples everything, the device will be noticably slower with that on to save the power. It should be seriously FLYING without it.
[QUOTE=iCole;38856311]Well the power saver mode intentionally cripples everything, the device will be noticably slower with that on to save the power. A lot of the animations are faster, and there is a lot less transparency. Haven't really put the S3 up to things like browsing with a billion tabs open, but I think it would pull away there, being a quad core, and having 2gb ram. [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Also fuck the LG camera app. It is great in every way except for two things: It is set by default to 5 megapixel, and THERE IS NO SHUTTER ANIMATION. It is really fluid and you have no idea if you have actually taken a picture or not. It is really annoying.
Hey is there an app that forces ICS/my rom to turn off the damn animations? No option found yet.

I'm selling my AT&T Galaxy S2 that has Cyanogenmod 10 on it. How do I prep it for sale and prevent myself from getting scammed/information stolen. I'm planning to sell it on ebay starting at $150. Expecting to get about $200 from it. It's in great condition except for 3 tiny dents from it being dropped once onto concrete.

Okay my S2 is overheating like shit lately so I'm going to start over with it. I'm going to get Cyanogen Mod 10 and try get Jellybean on it. I'm on Cyanogen 9 atm so anything I should know? Should I change kernal things or modems or anything? I heard some modems fix over heating? Also how do I get Jellybean when I download Cyanogen 10.
In other news, all Exynos devices are at risk for permanent bricking from any application installed that decides to exploit a security flaw in all Exynos 4 devices, because Samsung decided to set the permissions on a file to 666, or basically universal access for everyone. Said file also allows complete access for both read and write of all RAM.
Aw crap I think my phone screen is peeling off. At the lower right corner where the menu button is, when it's lit I can see light leaking out from the bottom part of the screen. It goes away when I apply pressure on the menu button area so it must mean my screen lifted. I even closely looked at it and it's definitely loose (that corner). When I apply some pressure and lift my thumb it lifts back up again. When I apply pressure everywhere it goes away for a while and eventually comes back again. And the warranty already ended. And I called Sony support and it would cost $185 as a flat rate to fix it... I can see that the screen is lifting as the screen is uneven... I think the glue died there. What do now?

It didn't peel out, it's just slightly popping out by a few mm [editline]16th December 2012[/editline] Less than a mm

You could probably find the appropriate material for the screen and do it yourself.

I have a very slight issue with a loose screen on my old Desire HD, it never affected functionality.
Dust and other things can get under it though... And maybe break something. Remember my warranty no longer exists
