And fuck yes, the Quick Settings shade is customizable and button work as toggles in CM10.1. You can even make it pull the QS shade if you pull from the right side where clock and signal icons are, which is simulating the tablet behavior. NEATx2
i'm not sure if gary can be set free from the mini pro :(
FYI it's this one http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_xperia_mini_pro-3713.php
alright just so I don't have to repeat this morning's incident in cyanogenmod if I accidentally dismiss the dialog that pops up when an alarm goes off how do I dismiss the actual alarm without pulling the battery
Hey guys, my brother is having a problem with his Galaxy S (1) and it has us stumped. Basically it boots, gets to the custom boot symbol, and hangs. The troublesome part is it won't boot into recovery mode, only download mode, and in download mode it comes up as an unrecognised device when plugged into a PC. Is there any hope? He was booting CyanogenMod.
alright just so I don't have to repeat this morning's incident in cyanogenmod if I accidentally dismiss the dialog that pops up when an alarm goes off how do I dismiss the actual alarm without pulling the battery
Which CM? I don't think I've been able to dismiss the dialogue so far without also killing the alarm, or snoozing it, in which case you can just delete or deactivate the alarm itself?
Tested my battery life during College today. Took phone off charge at 8am, had 3 hours of screen on-time and died by 4pm. Sent 400 texts. Need to find a MIUI rom with better battery life than MIUI India.
Man I never use the slide out keyboard. SwiftKey Flow all day. In portrait screen orientation.
Anyone knows when CM 10.1 comes to Xperia V?
Got an S3. Sure is nice.
so my gf's xperia p arrived and holy shit it's very likely the best-looking phone i've ever seen. it shipped with 2.3.7, has 4.0 and 4.1 was just announced i'm jelly
You should read the rage on xperia blog about slow updates, I even think they deleted my comment about how 50% of android phones are still on GB.
Which CM?
CM10
in which case you can just delete or deactivate the alarm itself?
Accidentally dismissed the dialog and turned off the alarm. Phone was still sounding off.
Find roms based on stock roms? :)
I don't think it works that way...
CM10 Accidentally dismissed the dialog and turned off the alarm. Phone was still sounding off.
That doesn't sound right. Any idea how did you dismiss the popup? I'm 100% sure my sleepiness made me click all around the popup without it dissapearing and if I clicked Snooze or the other button, it did shut up. In any case, isn't pulling the battery unnecessary? Couldn't you just turn it off via the power button (worst case hold it for 8ish seconds, that forces the phone to turn off no matter what)?
Any idea how did you dismiss the popup?
back button makes the most sense to me
In any case, isn't pulling the battery unnecessary?
try telling that to someone who's only been awake for 30 seconds and is already pissed off at being unable to dismiss his alarm
I don't think it works that way...
Stock kernel* Sorry That should work, right?
I guess this the best place to ask. What is the best android phone available now that doesn't look ugly as fuck? or isn't oversised or too small? I was considering the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini but then I realised it looked ugly. Samsung Galaxy Nexus is what I was looking at but any other suggestions?
Stock kernel* Sorry That should work, right?
Probably not...? I dunno, I don't think so.

Samsung after 2011 decided that matte plastic was apparently too much texture to handle so everything they make now is this weird glossy shit that feels like you're holding the grime from your own hands. holy fucking shit the new currents update is amazing
http://www.phonearena.com/news/HTC-Droid-DNA-screen-compared-with-HTC-One-X-iPhone-5-1080p-Sharp-Aquos-Phone_id37756#2- Hot damn the DNA's display. The brightness drop is sad though.

It's like a fucking joke with how it just stretches out a ridiculous amount in the green.
At this point should I just wait for the Galaxy s4 to come out instead of getting the s3?
also cm10.1 for the galaxy s2 is totally awesome and with near iPhone levels of smoothness
At this point should I just wait for the Galaxy s4 to come out instead of getting the s3?
The S4 might not come out until Summer so if you can wait 6 months and pay for it then, sure if you want. The S3 right now is really good. [editline]17th December 2012[/editline]
holy fucking shit the new currents update is amazing
Too bad it takes up like 30MB in appdata which eats up my mediocre internal storage :/ I wouldn't be able to update or install anything. Will make that partition on my sdcard eventually. In other news I'm probably never updating Solid Explorer into the Trial version until some important updates or features arrive, and whenever I can get money to buy the unlocker.
also cm4.1 for the galaxy s2 is totally awesome and with near iPhone levels of smoothness
you mean CM10 right
Any useful apps to buy besides solid explorer right now? Maybe on sale, etc? I'm just waiting for a full on Christmas sale.
you mean CM10 right
10.1* phone keyboard
