I have pretty big thumbs and typing on the standard 4.1 keyboard is task in itself, are there any good apps out there that can help? [editline]December 14th[/editline] I know swipe is an option but I would like to avoid that.
Reposting because I didn't get any responses earlier. [editline]December 18th 2012[/editline] Would also help my intoxicated typing too...
What exactly are you missing with not having flash player? Most websites use HTML5 now
Pornography.
How does one get an Ingress invite?
How does one get an Ingress invite?
http://www.nianticproject.com/ go there, punch in an email address and give it a few days
Guys, my contract has ended and I'm finally getting an android phone, unfortunately I'm not very savvy and would like recommendations on an android device. Budget is much of an issue. I guess I want to know the least restrictive OS, with the best hardware for power. I was thinking of getting either the Samsung i9250 Galaxy Nexus, or S3. I'm going into town really soon and I'm stupid and will pick a bad phone. [t]http://puu.sh/1CitA[/t] As far as I can tell, this is the extent of my options.
No one else has helped, so I'll just jump in with the best options I see. The Xperia T, Galaxy S3, and One X+ will be your high end choices. If you want something one notch down, the One S, Xperia S, and GS2 are pretty much the best choices to go with.
http://www.nianticproject.com/ go there, punch in an email address and give it a few days
I've given it weeks... And done it a few times.
If I can give you my used key I would. I can't really play it.
also while the facebook app doesn't utterly blow now (though I'm fairly sure it blowing before was a result of shit coding rather than HTML5) I still can't believe it still relies on the menu button, something that's been deprecated for over a year now
I still have no idea why they sided to deprecate it. If I had to pick between a dedicated menu button and a dedicated 'recent apps' button I'd pick the menu button any day of the week. How fucking hard is it to hold Home to access the recent apps list? [editline]19th December 2012[/editline] Also I use the menu button much more frequently than the 'recent apps' button
for the same reasons they decided that SD card slots were bad
Because people will pay $100 more for the larger storage It all makes sense now, they're going to offer the old layout for $50 a year
What do people actually use a dual sim phone for? drug dealers? if I'm correct in thinking only 1 sim can be active at a time
separate work and home. or cheap cellphone plan and s separate dedicated data plan, all from different carriers.
for the same reasons they decided that SD card slots were bad a.k.a. someone at Google has no fucking idea what they're doing
Yeah, for all the things that Google developers do right, they still make a lot of fucking retarded mistakes (4.2 December fiasco).

I have opted for the Galaxy S3 as I like the larger screen and familiar OS from watching friends with Samsungs SII. Also, if I were to develop for this OS (Android 4.0?), what language would be best to start with? I have some experience in python, lua and HTML/CSS.

Still waiting for my Nexus 4... First and last google phone i guess...
The only choices for Android really are Java, C and C++, and the last 2 aren't viable unless you're a fucking maniac and want to kill yourself.
monodroid?
kill yourself.
is it that bad
It's Mono, on Android. Mono alone shouldn't exist, let alone sticking it on fucking Android. I don't care how much you've worked with C# or .NET, you should just stick with something you can find support for in case you need help. And what if the project dies off, or breaks and can't be fixed?
hmm makes sense oh well
yay got my phone back from repair
Nexus 4 just got here about an hour ago. It's making me (and my wallet) physically erect.
fuck yooooooou. I wish it was January already :(
I have been waiting and waiting for Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S2, and now that it has been delayed until January I am looking into rooting it and installing one of the leaked builds. Could anyone point me in the right direction for that? My ones model number is GT-I9100, and the baseband is I1900XXLQ6 (Dont know if the baseband matters). I have no experience rooting and I am kind of afraid of bricking it. Is there actually much chance of bricking my phone while trying to upgrade to 4.1.2? I want it mainly for the smoothness and Google Now. I have looked around for guides, but there are so many and I dont really know what any of this stuff means. I have jailbroken my ipod touch though. TL;DR I would like to upgrade my Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 to android 4.1.2 using one of the leaked builds, can anyone help?
What GS3 cases do people use? or do they just leave the phone naked
I've always lamented the stupidly short length of headphone cords, but yesterday it occurred to me that there's probably an android app that will stream the audio output of your desktop. Makes watching movies while lying on your bed really easy.
You guys should run a file server
What GS3 cases do people use? or do they just leave the phone naked
My mother bought a shitty one from china, and it does not have any sort of way to tell where the buttons are on the sides, and they are really hard to press. It is the worst shit. Don't by cheap china shit.
