why do you type like this ezhik
because he wants his opinions to stand out more and in an easier to read fashion.
Is it just me or is the SGSII's Wi-Fi reception worse on CM9? It takes a long time to load things and even connecting to the Wi-Fi takes a while after I flashed to CM9 from stock.
ezhik i dont want to be a dick but in my personal opinion you coming in here just to complain about android is getting kinda old
Thank god someone else said it in a nice manner. I was gonna mock him for it with whine-one-one and so on.
Hey, Ezlik http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/09/27/lg-makes-the-optimus-vu-ii-official-2gb-ram-bigger-battery-on-board/ 2GB of RAM
Hey, Ezlik http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/09/27/lg-makes-the-optimus-vu-ii-official-2gb-ram-bigger-battery-on-board/ 2GB of RAM
Doesn't matter, it's a bad phone anyways, it's how Android handles it.
i dont wanna keep ezhiking but ive never had any of the issues ive seen people (like ezhik!) complain about not even on a galaxy y duos (which is on the lowest of ends)
Basically when you open a new tab in the browser and browse on that tab for a bit, when you go back to the other tab it'll reload by itself.

If I put an iPad 1 or 2 screen in a shrinking device that's what would come out of it. If it were a desirable resolution for a phone there would be lots of 4:3 phones.
Basically when you open a new tab in the browser and browse on that tab for a bit, when you go back to the other tab it'll reload by itself.
Oh that's what's been bothering all this time! yeah I have this too, but one, I don't really use the browser all that much, and two, it's not like i'm ever without an internet connection, so I couldn't care less.

If the app and tabs are being kept in RAM like they should be, that shouldn't be possible. It's not like there's an insufficient amount of RAM that these devices have to hold some webpages open.

I'm also fairly sure that it doesn't refresh if you don't have an internet connection.
It does hold it in the RAM, it just refreshes the page because you have an internet connection. I'm also fairly sure that it doesn't refresh if you don't have an internet connection.
I've seen it where when I go back to the other tab the page is white and if I don't have a net connection it's gone and gives me the can't be loaded page until I get it back because it reloads. I assumed it was kicking them out of memory because something else in the OS needed it to do some sort of background operation, because if it's just refreshing them and not letting me view what was on the page that's terrible design. Most web pages besides forums have no reason to be refreshed unless you really need to keep up to date with those Disqus comments. [editline]27th September 2012[/editline] But uh, it's not a common occurrence, and I don't know why it happens to him so often.

I'm also fairly sure that it doesn't refresh if you don't have an internet connection.
I get these broken tabs to, even if I have or don't have an Internet connection, it still refreshes the page. So let's say I was on the Android Police homepage, I go to that tab without Internet, I can see the tab with everything on it for a brief moment and bam, it refreshes, and gives me a page not available (because I don't have Internet) which is really annoying. Especially when my phone isn't the greatest, I still see delays on loading. So Ezlik, you are not alone...

Every single one of them did in fact refresh, but the only one that wasn't cached was facebook. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5483751/Photos/2012-09-27%2023.37.56.png[/t]

Clearly it's because of my 512MB of RAM. But Ezlik's devices have 1GB of RAM so I really don't know what's causing all of it for him. Edit: Just checked on stock browser, when I go through the tabs I can see what is there (as it's basically a screen shot) but when I go into the tab, it refreshes after a certain amount of time. But it still refreshes in general.
mine does it too, but I think it's a problem with chrome and cm10 on the sgs2
mine does it too, but I think it's a problem with chrome and cm10 on the sgs2
I'm on an s3 with a leaked JB rom though.
yea, I just meant to say that why it's happening on my phone is probably because of the factors I mentioned because I haven't got a problem with that before (I think) on stock
ah ok
really thinking of going back to some stock rom of the sgs2 that way I don't have to deal with crashes, phone locking up and shit just works but then again that means I must leave jelly bean...
i live in brazil and i know you know what that means no prepaid credit cards and no prepaid google play cards
Do debit cards not exist in Brazil? Where do you keep your money?
I have a Galaxy S II and suddenly when I plug it in to the computer, Microsoft Word opens and tries to scan the pictures on my phone and Samsung Universal Scan Driver opens as well (I have a Samsung notebook). Does anyone know why this is, and more importantly, how to stop it from happening?
i live in brazil and i know you know what that means no prepaid credit cards and no prepaid google play cards
Edit: Never mind, it was Mexico not Brazil.
For shits and giggles really: Does mean that my Desire is running a newer version of Android than my Galaxy S3 :v:
Being able to run the latest version of software on an old phone should be possible. I always find it stupid when people stop supporting it. The phone should still be able to do what it did before, obviously new features which require things that the phone doesn't have are not going to work but they can be disablsd

Manufacturers are going to make hardly (if ANY) money dedicating the man-hours to updating old devices. Especially if they have a newer handset already running the latest version of the OS.
My phones on ICS but it's never going to be on official Jelly Bean ever, so I would have to get CM10 and it has a somewhat stable build.
Do debit cards not exist in Brazil? Where do you keep your money?
Obviously they keep their money under their bed, in the form of cocaine or black tar heroin.
