Most of the developers on XDA are really good at making stable ROMs but god damn do they love ugly shit. [editline]24th December 2012[/editline] A lot of the time I find that for every good thing that gets added, a bad thing is also added
The thing is that at least with HTC devices, almost all the Sense ROMs don't futz around with the theme, and all that gets left to theming section.
Ill be able to afford my nexus 4 within the next 24 hours!! Too bad the google play store wont have them in stock in Australia within the same 24 hours
Is WiFi tethering working on Cyanogenmod 10.1 yet? I'm going to need it after Christmas.
Depends on what your phone is, but I tried it last night on my Galaxy S2 (i9100) and it worked. (you mean the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" thing, right?)
So I just got called an idiot for leaving a bad review on a theme https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dustinb.theme.cobaltchristmas&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5kdXN0aW5iLnRoZW1lLmNvYmFsdGNocmlzdG1hcyJd
"if you don't like it, don't download it." and 21 people giving it 5 stars... Dear Mayans, please re-schedule an end of the world ASAP.
Okay so I'm probably buying a tablet tomorrow Asus tf700T or look for something else? I'm not getting a nexus 10 because they're taking their sweet ass time getting them here
try here http://www.walmart.com/ip/Google-Nexus-10-with-WiFi-10-Touchscreen-Tablet-PC-Featuring-Android-4.2-Jelly-Bean-Operating-System-Grey/22088419
Went to theme my S3 with some Minimalistic Text, turns out that app doesn't work on MIUI. So now to find a new ROM. Hopefully AOK-PA comes out of Beta soon, or a new version of Paranoid Android is released.
try here http://www.walmart.com/ip/Google-Nexus-10-with-WiFi-10-Touchscreen-Tablet-PC-Featuring-Android-4.2-Jelly-Bean-Operating-System-Grey/22088419
Already bought a different tablet, plus I'm Australian :v:
cyanogen is miles better than stock android (loaded with a bunch of bloaty samsung bullshit apps).
That Samsung stuff isnt stock, its Touchwiz, Samsung's custom UI. Cyanogen is essentially stock android with a bit more customization.
Is connecting to an NFS server with 4.2 stock possible?
I didn't particularly enjoy "Samsung stock" because they load it with a pile of shitty bloaty apps and there's no way to uninstall stuff that i could see, just disabling. Is there a way to disable the lock screen side widgets in 4.2 or no? I couldn't see anything in the settings menu. :(
While I'm sure CM team will eventually add a toggle for lockscreen widgets, it's not implemented yet, so here's a temporary solution instead: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wordpress.chislonchow.deviceadminkeyguard

(you mean the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" thing, right?)
Yeah, I mean the portable wifi hotspot thing. I'm using a Galaxy Nexus. My nexus 7 will connect to the phone, though it won't connect to the internet.
I hate to plug my friend's app again since you've probably all seen it before, but it's gone through many updates and I thought I should mention it here. The app in question is Plumble. There's now built-in microphone volume control, hot corners for push-to-talk anywhere outside the app, even cleaner UI, rich Jellybean notifications, and some other features I can't think of right now. Give it a shot!
Gary that'll be the case for most Canadians with mobile tech moving forward and our home net standing still. Want unlimited bandwidth? Limited to 28Mbps. If you get tiered on Bell you can get 175/175 assuming you're a special person who lives in basically one small part of Toronto, and you pay a fortune for it with bandwidth I could use in a week.
Indeed I would.
North American version. Has a dual core Snapdragon instead of a quad core Exynos.
Verizon version has a quad core s4.
How big are datacaps in places like the U.S. normally? Because I could swear they start at like 2GB. I got my Galaxy S2 like 2-3 hours ago, and I've already gone through 800 megabytes, good thing I don't live in the States.
Mine's 2 GB, but I get most of my online data stuff done through my home wi-fi and I have a dedicated music player so that's plenty of room for me
So I went to Costco and they started selling these 32GB Sandisk UH-1 MicroSD cards for $26.99 and I'm like crap, over 6 months ago I paid $40 for mine and it was patriot, which was the cheaper brand. This is probably the 10th instance where going to costco was cheaper for stuff.
Verizon version has a quad core s4.
What the hell are you talking about?

Sure, I had to pay 2€ postage on it (2.6USD), but still, pretty damn cheap, especially when you count in the fact that everything costs more in Finland than in America. Way more.
http://www.reddit.com/r/nexus4/comments/15dumm/you_know_the_camera_in_this_phone_isnt_half_bad/c7lma7p?context=3 I can't tell if mitthrawn is being serious or not jesus christ.
That camera is best compared to the 4th gen iPod Touch that takes 960x720 photos. How could they fuck up so badly. There has been basically NO improvement in cameras on Nexus devices since the Nexus S. Oh and he's obviously a troll.
What the hell are you talking about?
Oops. The difference between the Verizon and the other north American versions is the 2gb ram.

I wish my phone had Glonass. I guess it is because my phone is US only. I have no idea what it would change, but it sounds cool.
