Nexus accessories are mysterious.
Probably just going to be this anyway.
Okay, maybe I'm a fucking nut, but I swear to god there's something wrong with my Nexus 7's screen
I got a wifi only 8gb version near the end of the summer, and loved it. Then Christmas rolls around, and I get the 32gb 3g version, but a few hours of browsing in, and I realize I can see all the individual pixels and everything looks kinda sorta blocky, like there's scanlines. I thought maybe I just noticed that, but I went to look at my old one, and didn't really notice them.
I have no idea how that would possibly happen or, if it was a legitimate problem, how I would document it. It's just really annoying and I half think it's in my head, but still... Anyone think there might be something that would cause that? Google comes up empty.
Maybe I'll send it back for a new one under some other issue
Send it back, won't do any harm.
Send it back, won't do any harm.
Any suggestions on what to return it for? Or does the reason not really matter?

Faulty screen, obviously
just tell them it looks very blocky compared to the other one or something
I don't know if anyone here even uses live wallpapers but I released my first app/live wallpaper in Google Play today if anyone wants to check it out.
Here is a video of it

and the google play link.
I just released it so there might be some bugs on certain devices, I don't have a lot of devices to test on.
I tried MIUI
I wanted to kill myself
i quite Miui, for the time i used it it was one of the fastest roms on my galaxy s.
Single issue, after about 2-3 weeks of use all the apps would start crashing and it would go into a bootloop
my nexus 7 seems to get wifi issues like last night I was on Chrome just browsing the web and suddenly when the site loads it said "couldn't connect to proxy settings" or something, the instructions are terribly out of date because i couldn't find that setting from the on-screen instructions
then facebook + facebook messenger started to have mini drop outs, messages weren't sending out or there was an error loading the stream
However when I switched to firefox, all was well, no issues whatsoever
I tried to forget about my network, rebooted it and whatever, it hasn't done it yet but what do i do if it does it again?

Oh and my internet is not the problem, runs fine throughout the house and my room has the router inside it because I have the phone line port

Bought it on my Sony Xperia V.
Will report back if there's any issues!
I wish every app was as well designed as Google Currents, it's such a pleasure to use

More proof that the laws of physics don't apply to the Nexus 4
It can slide off a flat surface, but sticks to an angled one
Just got my Nexus 4 for Christmas, love Android 4.2!
Massive upgrade over my old HTC Desire
I can now actually fit apps on there! And it doesn't take half an hour to read text messages or boot up!
And the screen is amazing
Shame the battery life is pretty poor. I also experienced something weird last night, I put it on to charge and I woke up and the phone had turned itself off. On turning it on, it had 100% battery. Is this a feature or a bug? Sleep of death?

The dock has magnets

Google and/or LG must've made a deal with the devil regarding manufacturing the N4

Hurray! My Nexus 7 was delivered today :D
Isn't the Sensation XL stuck on ... ICS?
[editline]28th December 2012[/editline]
But hey, at least he didn't mention Samsung is too plastic.
still better than Gingerbread
Jus' got my Motoactv. Gonna root it soon... It's stuck on 2.3 but you don't see many other smart watches capable of functioning as a independant system (i.e. not needing to BT Tether to a different device, draining the battery of both).

My potato is shit and I'm forever stuck on ICS.
Well, shit.
I enabled the "simulate multiple displays" thing in development settings, and I forgot that CyanogenMod on S2 doesn't work with that, and it saved the setting before crashing. Fuck.
Doing a backup, and I'm going to poke around the .tar, if I can figure out where the fuck it saves the settings and it's just a config file, I can just change the string and done.
What's this icon on my phone? A box with a cross and signal waves.

It indicates how good of a shot the sniper has on you.
In all seriousness, it looks like you're using a custom theme, which means it can be a custom icon, which means it could be anything from Bluetooth to GPS to, well, anything.
Edit:
I fucking love Google, and open-source.
I found the file with the settings, which was an SQLite file, and I found out which value I had to modify because I could just Google relevant stuff, and it would pop up the files from AOSP where all the possible values were listed.
Then I just used the advanced restore thing in CWM (after wiping out the MD5 list, of course).
That took like ~50 minutes from scratch with no software tools installed beforehand, hell I didn't even have a program to open up SQLite databases with.
I can probably do it in like 20-30 minutes now, depending on how long it takes to backup.
I'm almost certain it's GPS

Hey guys, I have a ton of media on my external hard drive, movies and music of various file types... Best way to access it via my android tablet? Is there an app that can play various movie / music file types?
If you don't want to copy and paste you can stream it by running an ftp server at your home. You might need to convert some movies but I think mx video player can handle it all.
