Can I play stuff straight from the drive though?
If your tablet supports USB OTG/host mode/whatever, that could work. If the drive is completely powered by the USB, it might get a little difficult, since the tablet might not be able to provide enough power. Then again, an OTG cable is what, 5 bucks and you can just use it with random USB sticks if you're outside with your tablet and need to check a file on some USB stick. Just check that your tablet supports it first.
Can I play stuff straight from the drive though?
set up a SMB/CIFS and use that instead of connecting the drive to the device.
I can use my external hard drive with my Asus Transformer and it relies solely on usb
I can use my external hard drive with my Asus Transformer and it relies solely on usb
Does it really deliver the proper power needed for the external HD?
Just put the jelly bean ota on my RAZR Maxx. Holy balls, it's like a dream. Gets laggy during app updates, but it's baby-butt smooth beyond that. Chrome is still shit.
Does it really deliver the proper power needed for the external HD?
I assume it's probably powered by its own power source.

[editline]29th December 2012[/editline] Just think of windows network drives.
Just sideloaded the 4.1.2 OTA that was accidentally pushed on the 24th on my Droid RAZR Maxx, really like it. Did you have to do a factory reset after you updated?
Does it really deliver the proper power needed for the external HD?
I use a 1Tb external hdd with my Iconia and it works perfectly, I just plug it into the USB port
For some reason I cant expand my 1x4 widgets, anyone know a fix? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1hwY3.png[/thumb]
Could be part of the widget itself, or the launcher. Nova let's you resize all widgets. [editline]29th December 2012[/editline] Sniping my auto merge.
For some reason I cant expand my 1x4 widgets, anyone know a fix? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/1hwY3.png[/thumb]
Get a better launcher?
Get a better launcher?
I would use the Falcon widget for twitter but it's just too big. [editline]December 28th 2012[/editline] Fuck it I just installed Nova everything is kosher now, but now to just get rid these extra pages. [editline]December 28th 2012[/editline] Figured it out.
We can share :-) The notification pane isn't an ugly piece of black shit anymore. I love it. Did you have to do a factory reset after you updated?
Heh no, and what I did today was stupid. I sideloaded ICS .215 thinking it was the 4.1.2 update, and when I realized it wasn't, I went to look for the 4.1.2 file and read that it can be only sideloaded from .211, which I was on BEFORE. So, I had to take about 2 hours and DOWNGRADE from .215 ICS to what I ORIGINALLY had, THEN sideload the 2.1.4 update. Boy did I feel stupid.
Why do you people seem to say 'sideload' instead of 'install'? Sounds douchey
Why do you people seem to say 'sideload' instead of 'install'? Sounds douchey
Sideloading means installing something to something from the same locale. (In this case SD Card --> Phone itself)
Seems almost redundant to be used as a colloquialism

I didn't find it necessary to factory reset either (which is how it should be with an OTA, frankly). Best part is, voodoo kept my root. I was really worried about that since people were reporting lost root to the XDA thread. Easy to use too. Was worried about it not working on Windows 8 but it did, thankfully.
I don't know if anyone here even uses live wallpapers but I released my first app/live wallpaper in Google Play today if anyone wants to check it out. So I'm just about done setting up my nexus 7, it was one hell of a task to fill up the new screen space. I love it to bits though.
I'm not sure what you mean, can you show a screenshot?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9phmbh3pvgpi6sy/Screenshot_2012-12-29-03-52-30.png Google search box was solid, along with the notification bar at the top.
So i have my S3 and Nova launcher is awesome, so is swiftkey! but..battery life is TERRIBLE, on my desire Z I'd charge it overnight, then about half 7 it'd go off the charger and I'd send the odd text, prehaps turn on data for a few minutes to browse twitter at the bus stop, then when I got to college by 9 it'd be still on 100% usually, prehaps trailing down to 99% or 98% but the galaxy S3 seems to lose 1% every 15 minutes-ish on STANDBY, Whats'g going on, it's on stock jellybean
stock jellybean
AOSP Jellybean or official TouchWiz Jellybean?
Thanks for the NFS:MW hint. Just purchased it, I hope it's better in my Xperia P (not play, just P) than my Vita.
