Hey guys, Im currently using a galaxy 3 i5801 running kyrillos mod 9.6 froyo, and im reall starting to feel the age of this android version. I wanted to upgrade to 4.x and while I can put it on my phone it isnt very stable and is quite buggy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1803180 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1548627 So I was looking at getting a new phone, I want something cheapish, say under £100 and of course with as many features as possible, good cpu/gpu/ram, good camera & have frontal camera, good battery... My friend sugested the galaxy S i9000 just wanted to know what you guys thought?
Where are you intending to buy your phone from? Your carrier or online, etc.?
I'd assume used since the i9000 is from March 2010 and for most of the world it is now 2013.
it'll be 2013 in an hour give or take
i can understand the column ui being complicated but the default ui is simple as it gets [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] plus you can add skins so there's really no way you can quit just because it's complicated [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/0cCWU.png[/thumb]
i don't want to theme it i just want it to work fine when i install it
it'll be 2013 in an hour give or take
it was 2013 9 hours 16 minutes ago
it was 2013 9 hours 16 minutes ago
yeah well fuck your timezone.
I'd assume used since the i9000 is from March 2010 and for most of the world it is now 2013.
Well Tmobile still sells them, I guessed that his carrier might sell them.
i don't want to theme it i just want it to work fine when i install it
It does? You install it and then you play music with it, how is that "not working fine"?
i don't want to theme it i just want it to work fine when i install it
except it works flawlessly when you install it you're just a little bit too dense
i don't want to theme it i just want it to work fine when i install it
File > Add folder > Add your music folder. bam you just loaded your library into it, everything else should be pretty straightforward from there
Android thread 2013: Desktop music players edition

And the fact it's lightweight isn't a big deal for me
Hoo boy, Kaabii flying off the handle yet once more
What music app does everybody use?
Poweramp! My favorite part is being able to do this with the widget (provided you have a launcher that allows you to resize it)
Hoo boy, Kaabii flying off the handle yet once more
Sorry but I'm pretty sure the one who resorts to name calling is better described as flying off the handle. I know you've stated in the past that you refuse to argue with me because I base everything in objectivity and logic, and I understand that because with your statements being very subjective in nature it's very difficult to do so, but unfortunately that's really the basis of arguing. I would suggest you go and learn how an argument actually works, so you would in turn learn how to properly attribute the term flying off the handle to somebody. It isn't best aimed at somebody who remains calm and objective while simply putting out the facts to try and build a point.

Not factoring in that some people don't give a slightest damn about what you value highly. Seriously, cut that elitist and passive aggressive attitude, throwing out facts once in a while doesn't justify it one single bit.
who gives a fuck read this post aloud and tell me it doesn't sound douchey
Only fitting as a response to someone going "LEL here he goes flying off the handle again!" when I was just giving my honest opinion as somebody who has had the device for nearly three years, that it's not the best choice. I even said that the Desire HD would be a better one if you're going to be hacking on 4.x, because the i9000 really just doesn't have enough RAM. [editline]1st January 2013[/editline] Every other post was just people saying they THINK it would be a good purchase, not thinking of any alternatives based on different scenarios, or actually thinking about what he may want to do with it. One person brought up using it as a media player, and everyone jumped on that about how it would be a good phone as a media player. Well the guy asking the bloody question never said it just needed to play music, and in fact he asked later how it runs games on ICS, which the answer is not near as well as something else could.
Holy shit guys, when did this become the Dayz thread?
