So would I brick my phone with triangle away if I wanted to get rid of the counter?
Edited: Nvm decided I had nothing to lose other than my first smartphone and did it, nothing happened.
Yeah, it doesn't brick the phone unless something goes wrong. The reason being that it actually does bootloader level mods.
i'm not, he's was just making an ignorant case about it
what i only said that i don't want to use foobar2000 because it doesn't have features i need in a music player built in
i'm well aware that it is possible to get those withcustom plugins, but i do not want to do that, so i use itunes which comes with things i need

Who cares what people use as a desktop media player. I use Windows Media Player and it does exactly what I need. Custom EQ, library view, nonshit interface etc
the first 11'er does apparently
He's had a terrible posting history, just let him get angry and ignore him
What is generally the best terminal emulator?
ConnectBot is nice, but I can't use it in landscape (which is more annoying that it really should be)
one with SSH is preferrable
In other news, Android Police is running a giveaway! Featuring PowerAMP and In Drive.

What is your guys opinion on the htc one x plus?
Thinking of buying one.
not enough ram
When i tether my phone with my PC it creates a new network every time, so far i'm on network 74 (74 times since my old hard drive died this fall)
Every time i do it i gotta tell windows that i want it as a Home Network (if it even matters), is there a way for it to do this automatically?
I think it's a Windows glitch, I don't recall it creating a new network each time in Linux
not enough ram
And the world spins madly on :v:
Woop! Samsung is releasing a firmware fix (probably a workaround) for the sudden death bug!
Thay have said this to the popular dutch Tech news site Tweakers.net.

say what you say, but android is like firefox, it eats that shit nicely :v:
At least 4.2 keeps your tabs.
still needs ram
fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff-
I don't know why but suddenly I feel like I should maybe get a Galaxy S3 instead of a Nexus 4. The only thing I'm really worried about is the fucking AMOLED burn-in.
And S3 owners, is there a mod that enables the 3dot button in apps? Is it even possible on stock Samsung fw? I'd like to rebind the Menu key to recent apps just like I have it on my S2 right now, and use home long-press for Google Now.
Agree for S3
Disagree for N4
Rainbows if you think I'm going crazy. I'd self-rate, but it's not possible anymore.
s3

CM10 has an option to enable the 3dot button.
Indeed, but I don't really want to jump to CM10. Or not initially anyway. I want to see if I'll find the S3's features useful.
And seriously, if CM10 downgrades the camera quality by 0,1% compared to Samsung fw, I'm not switching.
So, I've been on XDA now for a couple weeks (because I wanted to talk about the JB update) and the people in the RAZR forums are actually not bad.
The themers are a freaking riot, though.
Is ANYONE over here running CM on a Galaxy S3?
I have a problem with my S3's camera, it doesn't like focusing on things close up
Well, it does, it'll focus in until the object or surface is in focus, then go out of focus a little bit like "yep, that's done now" and it's annoying, seeing as there is no "macro" mode
[editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
Lmao as I say that I find the "macro" option hidden under the focus mode options, talk about weird design
[editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
Still, better than the iPhone, with it's HDR ON/OFF and GRID ON/OFF
macro is supposed to be under focus settings...
anyways s3 camera is amazing.
[editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
Oh and there's other camera apps to take advantage of the very good camera. stock is very limited.

You'll have gotten a new phone long before burn-in actually gets to a noticeable point
Well the S3 cam is great with the stock Samsung app already.
Another question you S3 owners: Anyone noticing burn in yet? If yes, how long do you have the phone? And do you use automatic brightness?

My status bar area is burned in very slightly. I know about it and it annoys me to no end even though I don't see it most of the time. I have the phone for like ~15 months.
no
and i use automatic brightness

I used auto brightness most of the time on my S2, same on my S3. I go to pretty high brightness whenever I watch a video. No burn-ins on either (the S2 is a year old now, gave it to my sister)
Well I guess I'm going to go for the S3 then. True black one might even be available by the end of this month over here, yay.
Thanks for the info and suggestions guys.
[editline]2nd January 2013[/editline]
Aww, the black one isn't available in 32gb? Sad.
Anybody got a Nexus 7 here. Is it good, Is it worth the money?
Best price/quality ratio for a 7" tablet IMO. Absolutely worth the money.
