Do you know where we can find our backing number to see how far back in line we are? :P
Nope!
- ninja'd with a useless post -
I haven't found any issues on my N4 just yet other than a very tiny hairline scratch under the LG logo on the back. I really like the slightly rubber textured sides of the phone, makes it comfortable to hold.
Hey there guys. So, I'm pretty new to all this flashing stuff and I got my dad's old GT-i9000 with CM 9.0 pre-installed because he's a huge nerde. Now I kinda want to upgrade to CM 10 and I've read in a tutorial that I should do a Nandroid backup with CWM, Wipe and then install the ROM from the internal sd-card. Now, the problem I have is that I have no idea which of the two is the right one in Windows. When I mount the USB storage in CWM, one of em gets enabled, is that the right one? Should I use nightly of CM 10.1 or use the stable 10.0? Also, when I select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" will all data on my external sd-card be lost as well or does it just wipe system Data? I'm sorry if I'm asking stupid questions, I just want to be on the safe side and not brick my phone or something. :v:

They should probably be obviously labelled [editline]9th January 2013[/editline] Back up your ext anyways, won't do any harm
So which one of you is going to get the Huawei Ascend Mate? They should seriously ship it with a settings tweak that turns it into tablet mode. Or ship it in tablet mode right away.

Another question, sorry: How do I install that google apps stuff? Does it work just like installing the rom itself or is there a different magic way?
Wow, Virgin have some fast mobile internet, not even LTE.
I get a little less than your download, but about 5 times your upload with LTE.
Well, that went better than expected, thanks for your help guys! <3
I get a little less than your download, but about 5 times your upload with LTE.
You really should be getting more than 17Mbps downstream with LTE.
You really should be getting more than 17Mbps downstream with LTE.
Might be getting capped. I'm on H+ 21.6 nearly everywhere in my country, but I'm capped at fucking 2.1Mbps
You really should be getting more than 17Mbps downstream with LTE.
Depending on the server I choose, I get about ~10-20 down, and ~5-15 up.
Generally you should be choosing the closest server since it's usually the fastest.
Hey guys I finally received my Nexus 4 from the playstore! In a white box, without cables, manuals and anything else that should be included. This was the last time I ordered ANYTHING from google, what a major fuck up. Contacting them to get me my stuff.
i doubt that was the fault of google honestly i'm pretty sure they do not control quality control and/or packaging, LG does
Depending on the server I choose, I get about ~10-20 down, and ~5-15 up.
I live in Tennessee, most of the local ones are crap.
Might be getting capped. I'm on H+ 21.6 nearly everywhere in my country, but I'm capped at fucking 2.1Mbps
I usually get about 11-17 down and 12-15 up on VZW LTE. Since they legally can't cap it, I think it has more to do with the fact that: A) I'm in the middle of fucking nowhere B) Their LTE network is a lot more bogged down than it used to (back in April, I could pull nearly 30 Mbps). C) The GNexus LTE radios are sort of crap. Obstacles in the way make ENORMOUS changes in connection speed. I'm not complaining though, its still faster than EVDO. Woooo, 700 Kbps.
You really should be getting more than 17Mbps downstream with LTE.
Nope. AT&T is a good example. They have 5 MHz FDD LTE in LA. It's actually slower than WCDMA. Something like 1 Mbps down and .08 Mbps up in the airports.

does anyone know if the nexus 4 will work on consumer cellular? they use the same lines as at&t so i don't see why there would be a problem

If you use the official CM10 it will format your device and rearrange all the storage partitions because they are fucking retarded.
IMO that's not too far off. US T-Mobile is supposed to start selling them in all stores and most places where LG will sell the phone directly are reporting stock available for mid Jan to beginning of February. It would be embarrassing for Google to not be selling the N4 online while LG stocks up all the regular shops worldwide.
Maybe this means I will get it by the time TAFE/collage starts again
Just applied my first ghost armor. My god, the bubbles on the bezels... This is the kind of thing that would have me spitting fire and throwing chairs. But I have a case coming in tomorrow :v:

But I can still pull ~30Mbps downstream with full reception on Bell's LTE. If people are getting like 10-15Mbps downstream, nothing has really improved for them from evolved HSPA in terms of downstream speeds. I guess to Verizon users coming from such an awful network the jump from EvDo still would seem massive.
by the way, why haven't we just said "fuck a facepunch app" and go to tapatalk?
by the way, why haven't we just said "fuck a facepunch app" and go to tapatalk?
I've asked Garry about this in the past. He asked me something along the lines of why enable something on his own forum that only makes some other company money through app sales, which I agree with after thinking it over.

But if Gary wont make one and the community cant keep one going, he wouldn't be losing anything.
