I guess to Verizon users coming from such an awful network the jump from EvDo still would seem massive.
It is amazing. 50 MB isn't considered a very large download anymore.

I had a Palm Pre on EvDo, I know all about it. Not that I had any apps to download since it was a Palm Pre, but videos and tweaks and such.
Just applied my first ghost armor.
My god, the bubbles on the bezels...
This is the kind of thing that would have me spitting fire and throwing chairs.
But I have a case coming in tomorrow :v:
Ghost Armor is trash. I have it on a few phones. Never applying it again. I've vowed to just go with normal glossy dry application screen protectors. High quality, high hardness ones work fine.

I remember having to download HP printer drivers for my grandparents over EvDo. It was one of those stupid things where they bundle bloatware with the drivers itself and didn't have a barebones installer.
Took a good 2 hours and crossing my fingers the connection didn't break with 1 bar.
i know we had this already but spigen screen protectors own
For anyone with a Nexus 4, I highly suggest getting Franco's Nexus 4 Display Control app. It's nothing fancy, but it can make a huge difference, especially if you have the newer rev_11 with the commonly reported yellow tint. I actually have the earlier rev_10 (s/n 211K, built in November 2012 in Korea) which is just slightly high temperature (blue) if anything, and using the values 255, 240, 230 in the app, I've eliminated the tint and also reduced the oversaturated greens, and the result is a much more balanced and higher-quality looking display. I'd go so far as to say it looks about as good as my retina MBP now.
i don't know their special bands offhand
but as long as it uses one of these
GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
you'll be fine
i know it's gsm and 3g but i have no clue how to find the frequencies
[editline]10th January 2013[/editline]
is this helpful? (btw, i'm PRETTY sure it's 3g. on my mom's iphone it has 3g enabled so i'm guessing it is)

But absolutely nothing on the Nexus 4 could be called oversaturated, it's the opposite. If you've reduced the saturation of the green it probably is just worse at displaying green now. The green is actually the most accurate part of the display out of the box.
yeah u should be fine

It has to work, it's AT&T's network, 850/1900MHz.

Is there something similar for the N7?

If only they had something like that for the Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7.

When Android users start to care about good color quality OEMs will start delivering it. HTC already ships some damn good displays in their phones. But people aren't willing to deal with HTC's faults.

But that's the thing, if the greens are highly saturated while the reds and blues are less so, then surely it's better to bring the greens down into line with the other colors so it's balanced.

I guess you could say that, but it'd be better to bring the others up. It doesn't really matter since apps like that are laughable in terms of actually fixing up the display, but yah for stuff like just reducing a visible tint I guess it can be useful. If it is truly in line with the other colors, I'd imagine when you display 60%< saturated green it all displays the same past that point.
Hey does anyone know how to change the text size of everything Android beyond the three font sizes? small is too small and medium is too big.
He's not "losing anything" regardless, but whether he makes or the community makes an app is irrelevant to the fact that if he enables it they'll be profiting from this website when a bunch of its users buy Tapatalk to browse it.
The most optimal solution would be a mobile devices centric subdomain, like www.m.faceounch.com
But then you'll need to make a almost new website that hooks into the existing database.
Though I have seen a few other forums (often smaller) offering such solution, so it's not impossible at all.
Websites like http://mobile.theverge.com/ does a very good job of making mobile sites work, same with Android Police, Android Central to new a few.
android police is just a off the shelf mobile theme

It's not about the destination, but the ride to get there :v:
well it starts off well, they have a nice destination, a good ride
then they fall in a volcano
Sums up FP development pretty well

Yep. I got a set for my mom's iPhone 5. Looks like it was never there.
really wish the nexus 4 one would go around the edges
Don't think I'll bother with a protector, can never apply them right and l always get bubbles.

We just apply them for free when people buy them. I know retail stores will charge fees to apply them, it's such BS. I've gotten very good at it.

Is there a screen protector that you can recommend because I do not want to lose the slippery surface. Preferably one that is easy to apply.
The Spigen one is 12 pounds and has poor reviews.
If you don't have experience, like just about everyone that doesn't apply these a bunch of times a day, you should use scotch tape over the top to hold it in place like a hinge. Let it flop up and down a few time to make sure it will be aligned when you let it fall into place with the adhesive on. Get rid of dust specks with a cloth/careful use of a lint roller, unstick and let it fall. Use the cloth to rub out bubbles, then remove the top protecting layer. If there's bubbles caused by dust, get one piece of scotch tape on top of the protector, then with another, quickly lift the protector, dab with the tape to get rid of the dust, and let it go back down.
