I keep hearing buzz about the Nexus 7 will also soon come with a model with built-in 3g, but is there anyone who has a reputable news source that can confirm it, or is it just bullshit?
Are there any good android device coming this year?
Are there any good android device coming this year?
Nexus 7 16GB
Nexus 7 16GB
Other than tablets?
There should still be a new Nexus phone (even more than one according to some rumors), so hopefully that'll have great specs. If you don't really care about Nexus/stock Android, then there's the Note II that's supposed to come out soon. Also OneX+ (confirmed), some other HTC phone (rumor?) and but the others are mostly just rumors.
Other than tablets?
Allegedly the next Nexus device will be released in 30 days. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] Oh ffs.
I'm sorry :v:
Whnightly. Fuck am I doing wrong? Going from 93% to 73% with only mobile Internet on using Chrome and listening to music with power amp, all in the course of about 1 hour. Galaxy s2 with cm9 nightly build. [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] I'm also always on lowest brightness, no auto sync with things,
Hoping one of those new Nexus phones have a fold/flip out physical keyboard. [SUP][SUP]I want to believe.[/SUP][/SUP]
Whnightly. Fuck am I doing wrong? If they made a Nexus 10 with microSD, it'd be an instant buy for me
The 4X HD has the same SoC, it's not going to be faster. Given the choice between HTC and LG, I'd be willing to bet on HTC for support and updates.
But he should be going after the SIII. Tegra 3 is awful.
Hoping one of those new Nexus phones have a fold/flip out physical keyboard. [SUP][SUP]I want to believe.[/SUP][/SUP]
CM9 in general. If you're after the best battery life just get stock and delete everything that you don't need. Great thing about ICS with the ability to disable system apps.

Battery life on SGS2 CM9 shouldn't be bad, as long as you're using one of the latest nightlies. Are you sure it's not just your battery graph screwing up? It tends to do that sometimes when you switch ROMs, but it'll sort itself out after a few recharges afaik.
Hey guys, I wanna get my sister an Android phone — what's the best starter-to-mid one that exists? ICS isn't a must, good battery life would be preferred, as well as enough internal memory. No preference for brand either, I think. I was looking at the Samsung Galaxy Y but I'm sure I can afford to go a bit above that.

Otherwise it's fine. It's been like this for months.
Aggressive roaming / bad signal.
Any idea how I would fix this? Installing a stable when I get home but you never know if it will fix it.
Try out various modems, also try getting the app GetRIL (free version will do perfectly) to match your RIL (Radio Interface Layer) to your modem (not always the best solution, that's why unfortunately you need to experiment a bit to find out what's best for you). modems: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950 (I'd recommend giving BVLP7 a shot, many people say it's the best one, but it depends on your location and carrier). Install through CWM. GetRIL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sibbor.getril Also, I'd highly recommend updating to a more recent nightly or the CM9.1 release (28th August build). However if you're often in an area with REALLY bad signal, then I guess there's not too much you can do, although a different modem could help still.
I'm not usually in bad signal areas, only when im on the train and I don't usually have mobile network data turned on when on train. I'll try the other programs,
I asked a few pages ago if battery life was different on nightly and stable, I got the answer "no, no there'd no difference"
Also try charging to 100% (ie charging until the phone says it is full, turn it off and re-attach the charger until it says it's full again) then take out the battery for 5 minutes or so. That's apparently how to calibrate the battery for the SII.

Just flashed the latest stable CM9.1 for my S2 and Siyah Kernel 4.15. This is an upgrade from Paranoid Android 1.6a and Siyah Kernel 3.3.3c. Factory reset/cache wiped. Immediately off the bat I notice my camera is no longer functional. Admittedly it wasn't great on my old ROM/kernel either (I had to force stop it every time I wanted to take a picture and any non-'Camera' apps had big green artifacts all over it). Now it just doesn't work, all apps that require the camera (QR scanner and the like) show a black screen even when the lens is unobstructed. I was originally planning on flashing paranoid android 2.+ but it kept referring to S2 CM10 code base. After looking for that in the repository I didn't see anything CM10 related for the S2 so I tabled that idea.

Is it possible to remove the TouchWiz thing on my S2? I want the default ICS look.
ladda ner holo launcher [editline]1st October 2012[/editline] eller apex launcher
