Isn't it a power saving thing?
Edit:
Wait, no
To get a GBA emulator working, would I need to root?
Oh also, why does this happen?
You might not notice, but the screen on the right is darker.(I don't mean the actual website - I mean the text, search bar, etc..).It's weird as it changes brightness by about 10% by doing some things - for example, in Chrome I click the search bar and bam the screen is brighter, but when I exit it it's dark again. How do I fix this?:<
I can't see a difference, I think it may be to do with the white in the screen making some kind of illusion.

Believe it or not, I tried the same thing on photoshop and yes indeed, they're the same colors. But I am 100% sure they're different IRL.Maybe my screen borked

It could be that when you take a screenshot it doesn't take into account the setting of screens brightness, I'm not sure but screen brightness could be changed by hardware and the screenshots only take a picture of software. I hope you understand what I mean.

Sorry though I have no solution.

Yeah I understand what you mean. This started happening after I enabled custom power saving - thing is, as you can see, the battery is at 71% - I have it set so it turns down brightness under 40%.I tried disabling it, same thing happens.I just realized it mostly seems to happen when there's a lot of white on the screen - clicking on the search bar makes half the screen black because of the keyboard
What do you guys think about the Galaxy Note 2? I like the large size of it, and I was considering it if I can use my Verizon phone upgrade. I've been using a Galaxy Nexus and I really like the side power button and on-screen menu buttons but I haven't seen any other Android phone continue that. The Note 2 has the power button on the side and a physical menu button. It says it'll be 4.1 Jellybean but it doesn't look like it when I see the preview images too. I was also considering the iPhone 5 because I have a lot of apps and shit that I've purchased on iTunes which is why I don't plan on starting another collection of purchased stuff on Google Play, I've only been using the decent free apps I find.

That's because it runs Nature UX. It won't really look any different from ICS devices running it.

Also the iPhone 5 will be faster and the screen is better, but they're both completely different beasts. One is 4" and runs a more closed OS and the other is a whopping 5.5" and runs a very open OS. If you don't really care for stuff like the S-pen and are currently content with whatever iOS device you use I'd get the iPhone.
BTW the reason why the web page white looks darker is because the browser has it's own dynamic brightness that turns down brightness whenever you're on white-heavy pages because AMOLED sucks a fat cock for battery drain with all white web pages.
In other news, the iPhone 5's A6 doesn't use Cortex A9 or A15, it's a custom Apple designed CPU. Bricks are being shat here.

Yup. Faster and more power efficient, with a beast of a GPU. I think the only faster phone currently is the LG Optimus 4X HD.

4X HD is a Tegra 3, Optimus G will probably topple the A6 though.

Oh it is? Sorry I thought that was the AP8064 one. Yah I meant the Optimus G.

Yep, I really hope LG gets their shit together for the Optimus G. They have the chance to displace Samsung with designs that don't look like glossy plasticy feature phones, with some serious hardware in understated, mature designs.
lol they will fuck it up

The PRADA phone wasn't that bad

LG's issue is firmware. They are the only people I've ever seen who can make Android exponentially more sluggish with the same hardware as everyone else is using. It's even worse than Sense because it doesn't even look nice.
I can tell you all about how shitty LG is.
I barely use my phone because compared to my tablet it is
so
fucking
slow.
And I'm still running gingerbread. Promises were that ICS was coming in September, but no one on XDA believes this is going to happen.
It seems like I can't swipe to the left on SwiftKey 3 to delete a word sometimes since I got ICS...
And I can't find the swipe sensitivity or the options for actions when you swipe either...
Hey guys, I'm looking for a budget phone and I've found the Sony Xperia U, shall I buy it?
Aww snap.

Except the name.
Even HTC is better at naming their phones, Since I'd rather have a phone that's hinting slightly at condoms instead of blatantly hinting at women's handbags.

Can't say I'm familiar with the condom references, care to explain?

Why is it when I turn on my phone, it doesn't go to the slide to unlock, instead it does directly to the PIN/Gesture/Pattern lock. I want to go to the slide to unlock, then unlock. I want to be able to launch the camera from it...
I could use a different launcher though...

Then what would be the point of having security if you could go straight to camera then straight to everything else?

Could be like on iOS where you could take a picture but if you tried to go back to another app or the launcher it asks for the pin.

Cannot unhear.
But that last part reminds me: do any other HTC users here know of any good case brands?
