OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK
Exactly.
He's got a HTC One S. It's not Sony, move along.
Speaking of the One S, I was thinking of getting that some time next year. Is it any good, fellas?
Speaking of the One S, I was thinking of getting that some time next year. Is it any good, fellas?
It's okay internals wise but don't grab a HTC. This is where I probably look like an anti-HTC sorta guy now even though I'm not.....
Are you ready for this?
MLP 6/10 Time to clear my history. I've still seen worse. Also, STAHP!
Fuck. Anyways I believe it has been a full year since I've made my way into FP's Android thread and probably made myself as popular as that hedgehog with his tabs but only exclusive to the Android thread. One year, yay. I've posted about my phone a whole lot and it became a really annoying yet funny and cliche thing for this thread. Shit, I'm bad at explaining myself on this. Let iCole or whoever to fill you in.
Don't forget that it took you exactly forever to root your phone, you're afraid of custom ROMs as if they were cancer and you love to le troll Apple stores with setting iDevice homepages to Android related things and whatever else. But we like you anyway. [sub][sub][sub]sometimes[/sub][/sub][/sub]
Speaking of the One S, I was thinking of getting that some time next year. Is it any good, fellas?
No, the screen on that thing is already a relic of the past and it'll be even more so by next year. There'll probably be a new Nexus by then anyway, and a Galaxy S4 announcement in Q1 2013. Look more into it closer to the time you're going to buy a new phone. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline]
you love to le troll Apple stores with setting iDevice homepages to Android related things and whatever else.
Wow that's almost as cool as the people who walk into phone stores and lock all the devices with pin codes.
The thing is, a new Nexus or Galaxy S4 will very likely be expensive (even the Nexus will likely be expensive at the start). so, what is a mid-range go-to phone nowadays?

Today I'm on Sony Stock ICS 4.0.4. With root. I'm still waiting for stable CM10. Also I only did that once because I got bored.

Or maybe go for a Monthly release (new CM thing) if there's one for your phone. It's built from nightlies but tested to see if things aren't unexpectedly broken. Plus, CM10 now has a built in updater, so you can install updates just like OTAs, it works perfectly. Also, I just checked a CM10 video of the SK17a on YouTube and I was reminded how incredibly TINY the thing is.
What's your price range for the devices? Here's mine, these prices are for unlocked phones. High = $649 Mid = $400 Low = $200 Very low = $100 My phone is the definition of a low end phone.
It's okay internals wise but don't grab a HTC. This is where I probably look like an anti-HTC sorta guy now even though I'm not.....
I've never used any phones outside of HTC, what I don't know won't hurt me.
I'm too lazy to read all that shit but I like the HTC One S.

I know 2 with the Note, 6 with the S3, 2 with the S2 and one with a S1 captive. A few with the Nexus series and yeah, On Thursday we were in this meeting and we stacked phones on top of each other. My phone was on top of the pyramid while the Note was at the bottom. We were so bored during the meeting. Damn it I need a new phone that's larger, fuck. They all laughed at me for having such a small phone...
Get a Note II. You'll probably dislocate your fingers the first day from the size jump.
so hows that high-end phone of yours doing pyro :~)
Which one?
Get a Note II. You'll probably dislocate your fingers the first day from the size jump.
I could fit 3 Mini Pros on the S3 side by side. Also I can just change phones whenever I want to. I'm going to have to end up waiting for another year until I can actually get a new phone and not be on contract ever again. Or consider going to Wind assuming they get better or stick with the Big 3, whichever one Garrynohome prefers because he clearly knows his shit with carriers in Canada.
Wow that's almost as cool as the people who walk into phone stores and lock all the devices with pin codes.
Hold on, people do that? I always thought that display devices could have this blocked somehow, mainly because I never saw a pin-locked device in a phone store before. Assholery taken to a new level again.

The guys at the counter were too busy to fix it, when they were clearly watching the Olympics.
Also I can just change phones whenever I want to. I'm going to have to end up waiting for another year until I can actually get a new phone and not be on contract ever again.
I genuinely feel sorry for people who buy phones on contracts, much more when they buy a BAD phone on a 2, 3 year old contract. I paid full price for my S2, but I can fuck off to whatever other phone whenever I want.

Plus, there was a rather thick cable going up from the lock and around the phone.
I honestly believe that HTC One S & X are awesome phones good display, big, light, erotic, etc [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] you're all jelly
I honestly believe that HTC One S & X are awesome phones good display, big, light, erotic, etc [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] you're all jelly
The screen is so awesome it flickers when anything grey is displayed! Also a high chance for dead or stuck pixels. Also top notch software! I loved my Nexus One, I wish HTC stayed on that direction.

Most of the people there are incompetent as hell, and a friend of mine who wanted to try the Galaxy S II actually asked me to walk over there because none of the reps knew how to get into recovery to reset the phone which somebody had pattern locked. People do it all the time, and it's indeed assholery taken to a new level. I don't know how it works but it's annoying as fuck when it's on the screen. It's hard to even try out the camera or hold it properly with that thing holding it on the back.
Well at least design wise, I think the One X Beats the S3. edit: Oh, good, so the screen suction lock is not just a problem of local stores being stupid, it's international. Not that it makes it any better, but I feel better that it's not a stupidity exclusive to my country.
