Why? I thought most people get it because they have apps in the background that hog up battery and memory..

Force close, basically an app crash. It's a phenomenon in the mobile world pretty much exclusive to Android, and if an app does it a lot it's probably one of those bad apps that you should just uninstall.

Yup, got lots of friends who still use em. I've never seen the FC issues people talk about, and when I inquire deeper it always seems the people have their device jailbroken. If you want to tell me an app that is known to be really bad on them let me know, I can check it out later.

I've actually had Mobile Safari crash multiple times on me when using an iPad 3. It's kind of sad.
