iCole, I suggest mp3tag for your music'ing
You can change artist/album/genre etc, especially useful when windows backup decides it will move a few around for no good reason
Note 2?
Pros:
*RAM. You know the drill.
*Multi-window thing
*The pen is kinda cool
*The screen isn't PenTile.
*The battery.
Cons:
*Might be too big. Try it in a store before you do shit.
*Exynos. Lack of developer documentation is making people, including an official CyanogenMod dev, quit making ROMs for Samsung phones.
To be honest, I'd wait until the next nexus phone before buying anything.
All the source code is out there, what are you on about?
Referring to the recent announcement from CyanogenMod about dropping support for SGSII and SGSIII with CM10 if no more information regarding the Exynos chipset were released.

That's documentation of the SoC, which you can apply for but I believe that is for companies. If you get the Note 2 it'd be pointless installing AOSP on it because you'd lose everything that makes the Note, a Note.
Ahh right I see what they're after now.
samsung released the stuff for the note 2. i wouldn't buy a phone now, since the next nexus is prolly coming
If they have the documentation for the Note II Exynos they wouldn't be complaining about the S3 not having it. Why? It's the EXACT SAME CPU but with a 200MHz bump.
Even the S III is a little big for me, let alone the Note. I think 4.5" is a perfect size.
I'm gonna give my S2 to my little brother.

Yeah, 4-4.5" is the probably the best screen size.
idk man im not a coding wizard, but they did it:

Special documentation on the SoC and the source code which they are legally required to release are two different things.

That's usually the kernel source
So people complain about lower brightness on Note II and as soon they do that they get called Crapple fanboys on XDA. Anyway, that got me thinking. I've had the brightness at 0% since I bought my SG2. I for the first time set it higher and almost came, it's so sexy!
Which android tablet should I get for Christmas?
Keep in mind that this is the first time I have used android.

The market will be different by that point, especially if a smaller cheaper iPad launches and forces other manufacturers to stop fucking around. Take a look closer to the time. Right now the only real option for Android is the Nexus 7, everything else is too expensive for what you get.

Also someone accidentally shipped a 32GB Nexus 7 to someone in Japan. Wonder what it'll be priced at.
Is a Samsung Galaxy SIII a good choice or is there any other phone out there or should I wait?
Note 2 if you want an even bigger phone with a cool stylus, otherwise S3. But if you want to wait a month or two, there should be a new Nexus device.

Right now the cell phone market can be consolidated to say that any company not named Apple or Samsung doesn't really matter at the moment. The S III is their best phone spec wise, apart from the Galaxy Note II which is VERY BIG! There will likely be a new Nexus device in November, so you might want to wait for that if you like updates.

tldr EVERYTHING IS A NEXUS, BRACE YOURSELVES.
My Galaxy note 10.1 has an exynos quad core chip and it's running CM10 from Entropy.
The N8000 version of CM10 is maintained by espenfio.
This shit is super fast and the only things that don't work are the camera and the calculator app. There are no CPU problems whatsoever.
how's multitasking on it
Huh, something completely random and unexpected happened to me just now, my phone had been acting slow lately and wouldn't work correctly, so i put my phone in kies for the first time and an update was available. To my surprise, it updated to android 4.0.4, and the funny thing is, my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Z/R I9103, is no longer being updated, or so i thought. There's also no news whatsoever of this update anywhere!
how's multitasking on it
On the subject of MT. I can't wait to use multi-windows, the sidebar on the NoteII.

It's fake, only keeps one app loaded at a time
Haha. All that RAM and they still couldn't get running two apps at once done properly. So you have to tap the window to activate it.
GokhanMoral has just released SiyahKernel 1.7 Beta 2, it supports Dual Booting.
Does anyone have experience with Straight Talk/Tracfone? It turns out my Blaze can work on that network and still have 3G/"4G" data speeds i get with t-mo but they have a limit of 2GB and may shut off your service if you go too far over. I use 5GB of data per month easily.
I'm considering it because 45/mo for unlimited calls and texts and "unlimited" data is cheaper than what i'm getting through t-mobile
The plan I went with for my Note II has unlimited text/calls :D. It's really convenient to have a fixed number to pay.
So, I'm seeing alot of samsung endorsements, but not much talk about Moto. I now their update list and timing is shit right now (I've got the Maxx, it's buggy as fuck), but they make great handsets. Would anyone here buy the rumored RAZR Nexus?
( Source on that rumor.)
Another question. I'm going to get the Asus Transformer Infinity for christmas because I feel like my laptop is about to shit the bed. I have a desktop I do most of my heavy work on, so this should make a good laptop replacement, huh? I've wanted a tablet forever, too, just couldn't justify one when I had a laptop.
My upgrade eligibility date just came, I'm not sure if I should get the galaxy s3 now, or wait for the note 2, since i've heard the s4 is going to be released next year.
What do I do?
