I have a faint pink/red spot on pictures when I take photos with the camera with Samsung Galaxy S2. Is there a fix?
if anyone is on orange or t-mobile in the UK change your APN to "everywhere" with no username or password and your internet bandwidth is uncapped for some reason
LG OPTIMUS G PROMO:
Gingerbread-ready. Might get ICS in april 2013, only for it to be delayed until November 2013.
Google has continually reinforced that they're not fans of SD slots on their phones. http://www.androidcentral.com/why-nexus-devices-have-no-sd-card
Please inform me of which person in charge of Google's smartphone division thinks SD-cards are the work of the devil. I'd be slightly tempted to start a kickstarter-like campaign to send them a crate of pickled horse cocks, along with a friendly message that There isn't free wi-fi everywhere, wireless internet costs a fuckload AND SOME people don't like the idea of "the cloud"
My mom struggled to read emails on her Nexus 7 before. She even tried to pinch zoom.
Anyone can recommend me a good video media player app for my Nexus 7 (instead of the default one) ?
if anyone is on orange or t-mobile in the UK change your APN to "everywhere" with no username or password and your internet bandwidth is uncapped for some reason
Source or proof? Probably stupid of me to ask but yeah, thanks. Possibly an issue with them changing to EE (Everything Everywhere)? No idea. I'm an idiot.
Anyone can recommend me a good video media player app for my Nexus 7 (instead of the default one) ?
I like MX player. [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] Also, I just realized why we cant do app2SD when I read what google thinks about SD-cards. I will never buy a phone without SD slot though. It feels extremely limiting. [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] Why Samsung SGi/Note II can't do app2SD* [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] SGIII*
Is there any Android programs that can make my HTC Legend a bit faster?
I like MX player.
Just tried the free version, but I disliked the presence of ads in the main menu and when I paused the video. Vplayer seems better from the trial version I tested
Just tried the free version, but I disliked the presence of ads in the main menu and when I paused the video. Vplayer seems better from the trial version I tested
Thought you would buy but Vplayer is also nice, Diceplayer is another alternative.
I think it was Hexxeh
Hexxeh doesn't work at google afaik? He was at that google event thingy tho.
I thought Hexxeh got a job with google after working for them as an intern?
I thought Hexxeh got a job with google after working for them as an intern?
Really? How'd I miss tha- Nevermind, I remember now, you're right!
I have a faint pink/red spot on pictures when I take photos with the camera with Samsung Galaxy S2. Is there a fix?
Point your phone and take a picture if a bright white wall (that has good lighting) if you still get that, don't worry about it. All phone cameras have this, even the iPhone 5 and people freaked out on first sight. If you do get that haze, move the camera and bit so you don't get it when you're taking a photo. It's how the lenses work.
woo.
So Galaxy Nexus sales are apparently ending. Two local shops are no longer selling them on their webistes with "Discontinued" listed as the reason. edit: and prices in the remaining shops are going up as they're quickly running out of stock (what sense does this even make? Shouldn't they lower the price instead?), just like last year with the Nexus S. edit2: My body is LG Nexus ready. But only if there's a 32GB version. Otherwise Nexus is dead to me.
Because Google wants to push you to hook up with their services, and keeping your data in the cloud is a part of that. That aside, they've always been developer phones primarily anyway, never marketed to general consumers very well. So until apps start going above 16GB or Nexus devices become aimed at consumers (which could very well happen soon) then there's not a big need to jump above 16GB on Nexus devices. [editline]13th October 2012[/editline] Oh and increasing the internal is the only way they'll go. Google has continually reinforced that they're not fans of SD slots on their phones. http://www.androidcentral.com/why-nexus-devices-have-no-sd-card
Wow I feel like an idiot right now. I had to get a micro sd card for another one of my devices and thought, "Well I might as well get one for my galaxy nexus so I can put more music on it." It never even crossed my mind that an android phone WOULDN'T HAVE A MICRO SD SLOT. But now I'm looking at my phone, and I'll be damned, no micro sd slot. Well at least it was only like 6 dollars. I'm sure I'll find another use for it.
The price will suddenly drop extremely when it's pretty much fully obsolete.
That's what didn't happen last year, at least not here. They upped the price of the Nexus S so much it matched some other rather high-end phones, and then they just completely ran out of stock.
The camera and storage options are the only things I'd dare call it "mid ranged" for. The CPU/GFX could be better, but it's still the "lower high end" IMO. Technically, a good dualcore should be able to do everything a quadcore can do. Apart from some very very resource intensive games, there's nothing that would truly utilize quadcore power in Android devices right now. Correct me if I'm wrong.
GUYS WITH SLOW PHONES!!! They have over 10!!!! years! (This post is obviously a joke)

It's clocked faster, but only to boost performance to account for the higher res.
Well, knowing your phone, that application might do some good for it.

Phew, edited the files to make calls louder. They were REALLY low at stock on the Note II.
