the link is in van-man's post
Change your PW if you used Overv's app.
Overv isn't going to do anything with your account, stop being so paranoid.
How is it that browsing FP makes your phone hotter than other content heavy sites? FP made my SGSII really hot, hotter than any games ever made it.
Someone.
Overv isn't going to do anything with your account, stop being so paranoid.
You're probably right. But I'm not the type to take risks.
I give fairy 2 days max
you're over estimating by a day and a half
Overv isn't going to do anything with your account, stop being so paranoid.
Well, Gran PC also PM'd me telling me to change it, and he's a mod, so I did. Only took two seconds anyway.
You're probably right. But I'm not the type to take risks.
You shouldn't use an app at all if you're not the person to 'take risks'. What makes Hexxeh any different from Overv, huh?
Stock calendar for everyone!
Fucking. Finally. The s3's touchwizzed calendar app is a joke.
Sometimes I wish android WASN'T so easy to theme. Stumbled across this abomination over at rootz: :suicide:

On another note, the J Butterfly isn't what the actual international version will be like. International devices are going to be at around 2500 mAh battery, or so the rumors say.

I just think 2500mAh is just not big enough to power an LCD display of that resolution with sufficient battery life. Do the battery companies have some hatred of HTC where they'll only sell them last generation batteries?
I just put a 3500 mAh battery in my 4.5" qHD phone. It's heaven.
Note II is 3100mAh. I just think 2500mAh is just not big enough to power an LCD display of that resolution with sufficient battery life. Do the battery companies have some hatred of HTC where they'll only sell them last generation batteries?
For reference, the Note II has a cm^2/mAh of 37.16. a 5" 1080p display would need a battery of same voltage as the Note II and with a capacity of 2562.5 mAh. Judging by the Rezound and other devices, increasing resolution does not affect overall battery life as much as it would seem to be. Doing some quick and dirty calculations, the worst case scenario is that the display causes a 30% drop in overall runtime on 3G browsing. Going by GSMArena's testing, that would register as a 6 hour web browsing runtime. http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-galaxy-note-ii-battery-life-test-is-complete-here-are-the-results/ http://blog.gsmarena.com/htc-one-x-for-att-battery-test-is-over-see-if-it-outperformed-its-quad-core-sibling/ http://www.anandtech.com/show/5779/htc-one-x-for-att-review/3 I used Anandtech's tests on web browsing runtime because it's far better at testing display use, before the latest changes it was almost all display instead of hitting the baseband and SoC. Another thing worth noting is that the Rezound actually does better than the Sensation in WiFi browsing tests, so I'm going to guess that resolution is not as big a factor in battery drain as people make it out to be. So that would put it above the One XL, actually.....
The battery life of the U.S. HTC One X is actually really great. I could easily go two days without charging, with normal usage. Which for me usually involves thirty minutes to an hour of some sort of game, usually N64oid. And quite luckily, they added an option to get rid of that terrible black options bar on the side a little while ago. Now I just hold the recent apps button and it works the same as an options button.
tbh i'd prefer if they kept it, so that app devs get their shit together and stop releasing apps that use the menu button
Am I the only person in the world who actually likes the menu button?
tbh i'd prefer if they kept it, so that app devs get their shit together and stop releasing apps that use the menu button
Nope, instead people will say HTC sucks because of it. App devs do not give a single fuck about standards. Reviews constantly listed the menu button as a con, people would literally base their decisions off of this crap.
So since Overv pulled an Overv I decided to work on my FP app again. I switched to Hexxeh's API (for the second time), and migrated over to more ICS-ish standards. Unfortunately, the Action Bar isn't available in sub-3.0 systems. However, I found an amazing library called ActionBarSherlock that adds it in. I improved the thread view; I got rid of those shitty boxes around posts. You'll notice it looks a lot like Overv's app. ICS guidelines do that. Oh also I fixed the "won't load images/avatars even on 3G" bug. And I improved support for 2.1/2.2/2.3. In b4 drama
I should mention that it ~doesn't use the menu button~
Do you mean the actual menu button on the phone or some other menu button because the menu button does shit here (surprisingly, it calls up a menu)
Pretty cool. Don't use it to repair burn-in on OLED.
Nah, I don't use the repair section but more the information and all the other tests. Really nice to compare clarity and stuff.
Do you mean the actual menu button on the phone or some other menu button because the menu button does shit here (surprisingly, it calls up a menu)
What I'm talking about is older phones have a physical button for an options menu, while newer phones like the One X do not. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/22565769/thisthingyisnowgone.png[/t] Because of this, to support older apps that require an options button to access the options menu, they added this annoying black bar thing on the side. It wasn't too in-the-way, but it was noticeable and messed up the aspect ratio of some games (notably emulators). At first, you were stuck with it. But HTC listened to their customers and added an option to disable it. Now, you just hold the recent apps button, and it works like an options menu button.
I still prefer having physical keys.. [editline]18th October 2012[/editline] or soft touch ones that is
