http://i.imgur.com/cuAPl.png wtf device not found bs [editline]19th October 2012[/editline] like 30 people are viewing the thread then i post and now its just me
You're banned, but I figure you'll be able to read this later. It's either the USB drivers are missing, or the connection is bad.

He's shown that his connection is okay because it's reading the SD card on the phone. But I think you need some extra drivers for ADB beyond the mass-storage ones. Or the phone just isn't letting ADB daemon run for some reason. EDIT: actually, his screenshot shows ADB daemon starting, and then it says device not found. Ya gotta admit, that's weird.

Disabled USB debugging would probably cause that. (I don't think mounting the SD matters, but debugging does). EDIT: I just confirmed that disable USB debugging causes "device not found", but mounting the SD does not matter unless you want to access /sdcard through ADB (the device is still found through ADB)
Oh wow Swype officially broke, as in I can't Swype with it wtf, gonna reboot soon. Also the themes sucks.
Oh wow Swype officially broke, as in I can't Swype with it wtf, gonna reboot soon. Also the themes sucks.
That's weird. Are you using the latest official beta? it's always worked for me. Although you are using a Sony phone; maybe it's allergic :v:
Hawr hawr hawr! I dunno, I have the latest beta and everything, I just got it yesterday and it was working most of the time. My SwiftKey also breaks sometimes as I can't swipe to the left to delete words sometimes. That's a known problem on ICS.
Thumb Keyboard <3.
Should I Get a Kindle fire hd and root it or get a nexus 7? Right now through work I can get a 16 gb nexus 7 for $233.75 on a sale... Any thoughts anybody?
obviously a Nexus 7... why would you even ask that question in this thread
Well I know everyone loves google, but I didnt't know if the tegra chip warranted the extra 33 bucks. I've heard people say good about both, but I've also heard people knocking the tegra chip for being nothing special. And I've heard of some quality issues people had with their nexus screens! So I figured I'd ask you guys. I'd probably want the tegra for myself... for a 17 year old girl who would probably, skype and browse tumblrs and do youtube would the Kindle Be suffecient or should I just get two nexus's?

It's down on memory bandwidth, the 40nm G process that the four main cores are built on gulp down power while not being any faster than a Snapdragon S4. If Tegra 3 launched on 28nm LP and had dual channel LPDDR2, and a half-decent GPU, it would be one of the best SoCs. But Nvidia doesn't give a shit or doesn't get it.

(Side note: Swype auto corrected "crap" to Casio, but I left it in because it's relevant in some way)
Swipe doesen't like me. mainly because I write both english and german with it. it autocorrects german words into english ones.
You can switch languages if you long press space also you can't Swype on the split keyboard in Swype.
You can switch languages if you long press space also you can't Swype on the split keyboard in Swype.
I also remember a language button that was the generic wireframe globe icon when I had the Spanish keyboard turned on.
I'm looking for a new phone for christmas (Dad has said if I get a job he'll help me out getting a new phone as mines broken) I watch youtube videos and web browser A LOT so I was thinking the original note, but it's almost too big, is there anything inbetween? the S3 is nice but I hate how it's a pebble shape and it costs too much at the moment.
Something along the line of the HTC One S?
The thought of using another HTC product makes me shudder.. Nothing but problems with their phones.
The thought of using another HTC product makes me shudder.. Nothing but problems with their phones.
The only problems I've had with my Desire Z were attributed to me being a idiot in one way or another.
The thought of using another HTC product makes me shudder.. Nothing but problems with their phones.
My dad has never had an issue with his HTC Incredible S however my old HTC Legend had a dodgy SD slot (SD card would stop working after 3-4 months)
And currently, it's pretty much either Samsung or HTC, so do you want a pebble shaped phone, or put your fears aside and pick-up another HTC?
The only problems I've had with my Desire Z were attributed to me being a idiot in one way or another.
Really? I absolutely despise mine :v: the phone can't keep up with the os due to it's pathetic 800mhz processor, Sense is just gaudy with the version I'm stuck on, I can't root it, if it gets nudged too hard it shuts off, the speaker is terrible, call quality is even worse, the L.E.D can only flash yellow and it's so dim it's pointless, the only thing I like is the keyboard, because it's actually a really nice keyboard I'm probably expecting too much from a phone, but for about £300 when I bought it I expected a lot better. [editline]20th October 2012[/editline]
Moto RAZR i/M? (i is Europe, M is mericuh)
Is that the super tough one? [editline]20th October 2012[/editline] the Razr i is still pretty expensive, but it looks really nice.. [editline]20th October 2012[/editline] Oh wow I forgot to mention, I was at a party last night and one of my friends sits down next to me, and he pulls out a galaxy note, or what I thought was a galaxy note, he let me have a play with it, when I noticed it was unbranded, so I asked him and he said he got it for £100 off of ebay, and then he showed me the best part, he told me to pull out the stylus, or what I thought was the stylus... I pulled out a telescopic aeriel, that extended about 4 times the phone size, and apparently it has a T.V reciever inside, and can be used to watch television V:v:V
Korea version.
It wasn't a real note, it was a chinese knockoff called the i9220 or something, I was looking at them before but yes, the Korean one does include an aerial as standard
isn't Motorola still being dicks regarding the bootloader?
I also remember a language button that was the generic wireframe globe icon when I had the Spanish keyboard turned on.
that's Samsung's swype implementation (pre-s3). the swype team has added a speech to text app, and an icon for that app, in place of the globe button.
I decided I'm probably going to get an S2, it's still an incredibly sexy phone
