So now Swype works for actually swyping. I just hate how the space bar is so small like SwiftKey X 6 months ago. and it can't seem to capitalise after a sentence or add spaces after a sentence. also the long press duration is to slow and I can't even change it.
Actually the issue with not capitalizing after a sentence is s problem with my app, but Swype. I'm fixing that now
Has there been any new news regarding the next Nexus device? Last I checked, both Sony & LG were rumoured to be making one, and the Sony device turned out to be a hoax.
LG Nexus is happening with a 99% chance, other devices are not known (apart from some Nexus 10 tablet rumors)
edit: what bothers me is that while apparently the 8GB Nexus 7 will be discontinued (still rumors but the chance is increasing) and there will be only 16 and 32GB versions, the LG Nexus phone seems to be launching in 8 and 16GB versions only.

Storage for the Nexus phones shouldn't be assumed by leaked specs or devices. The Galaxy Nexus phones seen before release were 8GB too.

Fair point, didn't know that. But I'm still a bit scared.
CM10 on my phone finally, and it's official!
Dat butter
Are there any apps that let you plan a route? Like, I can say this is my location and drop pins at junctions and plot a route and It'll tell me how long it is.
I'm sure you can modify routes in google maps, it might be worth seeing if it is powerful enough for you

Apparently I made that up :/
Moto RAZR i/M? (i is Europe, M is mericuh)
Actually, Razr i has an intel processor, whereas M uses a regular ARM (I believe snapdragon) processor. I don't think it has anything to do with country? Correct me if I'm wrong.
To be fair, the leaked device was for testing so it doesn't mean that is what the devices storage size is when it's released.

That is the difference but they are only available in their respective countries.
So I attempted to install CM10 from hashofcode's blog. And now I have no data, and wifi won't work. I feel like it has something to do with my baseband.
what do
Damn it Swype broke again but it was working a minute ago..
Anyways having my screen brightness at 20 is like the best brightness for whenever I'm indoors. Yay.
when is jelly bean releasing for the GS3 in Europe? (international version, not tied to any carrier)
when is jelly bean releasing for the GS3 in Europe? (international version, not tied to any carrier)
Is still country specific and I haven't heard yet. Just install the latest leak?

Depends on carrier, unlocked devices got it about 3 days ago or at least that's when mine updated.
Tried using Box again, hasn't updated in like two months or so, tried using their web document maker on my computer, wow it's pretty bad, I like Google Drive better.

I really don't like the idea of installing custom firmwares, it's such a lengthy procedure for something I just shouldn't have to do
I flashed jelly bean on my galaxy nexus because Verizon didn't have a version of it available. really pissed me off because I was under the impression that the galaxy nexus was one of the first to get updates

It is, even the Verizon one got it before other phones did, just not as fast as global ones. Buying any phone from Verizon and expecting timely updates is irresponsible, because OEMs have to make special firmware for their CDMA network. With the Nexus you don't get the same degree of carrier alterations as other devices, but it's worse than the Yakju UMTS ones.
Apparently french carriers have gotten JB before unlocked phones did
what is this madness
it's the first time i hear that being done in that order
The thought of using another HTC product makes me shudder.. Nothing but problems with their phones.
The HTC today is almost nothing like the HTC from even last year. They still don't put the biggest batteries in their device, but they've managed to make their devices the most battery efficient amongst Android devices. The One XL managed to beat out the GS3 in almost EVERY battery benchmark despite only having a 3.7v 1800 mAh cell to the GS3's 3.8v 2100 mAh cell. They also managed to put relatively powerful hardware. There's still a few remnants of the HTC of old, but next year's devices are probably going to complete the change that started with HTC's realization that they dun' goofed in 2011.

And yet I still feel bad sending people out of the store with an HTC device.
Also just some phone news from Canadia. The Galaxy Nexus is EOL on the Big 3 carriers, and Rogers is accepting pre-orders for the LG Optimus G.

Eh. I feel like anything before the One series would be a terrible buy now, but something like the One X is hardly a bad phone. The GS3 is good hardware, whenever I hold it in my hands... I don't really feel like I want it.
I've started using DeskSMS and TabletSMS on my N7.
I'm beginning to think someone should just come out with a phone shaped box with a cellular antenna, 3G/LTE antenna, wifi broadcasting ability, bluetooth and everything else is taken up by a massive battery so I can just use my N7 more than I already do.
[t]http://www.limelightloves.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Nokia-3310-02.jpg[/t] + LTE pls.

Yah we just have the S and the V, no X.
Really? I saw a One X at a Best Buy a couple of days ago.

I work for Bell Canada, the One X is on Rogers. My apologies for not making that clear.
There's a one v?
[editline]20th October 2012[/editline]
The one V looks retarded, why would they curve the bottom?
