I thought it was interesting too. I'm curious to see if it's real. [editline]21st October 2012[/editline] So, if the 10 inch Nexus drops, should I say "Fuck the Transformer Infinity" and go with Nexus instead? I'm so conflicted...
I used a TF700T on ICS and it was such a horrible experience, nothing in the launcher was smooth at all. Try one out on Jellybean if you're gunna buy it. A Nexus 10 from Samsung might not be as good as it looks on paper. If it is indeed 2560x1600, there might be a fucking gigantic asterisk next to that stating "RGBW" which means the display will be a joke compared to the new iPad and even the Transformer Infinity Pad. Alternatively if it's RGB and it's calibrated properly, it'll be the best display on a mobile device out there.
And snip, because ninja'd.
or we write poems beautiful haiku poems fuck law enforcement!

But I'm super attracted to the transforming functionality. And Asus has them on JB now (I think).

And Asus has them on JB now (I think).
The TF700T got Jellybean, I'd still advise trying it out because Jellybean does not magically make every Android device run perfectly in the UI and apps. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Tegra 3's memory bandwidth was the limiting factor with that 1920x1200 display. There's a reason Apple designed a quad channel memory controller that the GPU could access when they built the A5X.
Yeah... I may wait till reviews of the Nexus 10 pop up. The Transformer is just pretty much exactly what I need and that keyboard dock's reserve battery... I don't know. A Nexus tablet would be smoother, but the transformer has the features... [editline]time[/editline] I have no clue whats up with media tags.
I'd rather trade the slide out keyboard for 16GB internal storage on my Mini Pro than have the actual keyboard. At that point, it would be an Xperia Mini with 16GB internal.
In all seriousness for this, I would actually trade my phone for an Xperia Mini with 16GB internal. I mean, I have 1GB internal where only 300MB is fucking usable which is absolutely stupid and useless. I can barely install much games (i.e. Gameloft games and their massive 20-80MB app data) or apps in general without being given a "hey, you are low on Internal space! Go free some shit up or guess what, you can't install more shit or update anything!" Even 8GB would be awesome. God, what were the engineers at Sony Ericsson/Mobile even thinking slapping on THAT LITTLE internal storage. God damn it. But then again, after doing some research, the Mini doesn't have a front facing camera :( and it's listed battery life is less and the CPU is apparently worse... The metallic build would win in a fight with Apple's tablet, except they're BOTH made out of aluminum. Later on he says that colors can be oversaturated, despite the Infinity just barely being above 60% sRGB. Sorry that's offtopic, I just think the people who do reviews for The Verge should be banned from writing about technology. ON TOPIC, you should honestly take a look at the Microsoft Surface and compare it to the Infinity Pad if you need a tablet with keyboard functionality.
I really hate how Samsung can't make good screens. Why does their screen have these lines, crushed black, burn ins, tints? Their phones are awesome, their hardware but not their screens.

But yeah, Surface has been giving me some heartburn too... but mainly because I would really like to go as close to all-android as possible and I will definitely not be upgrading to Win8 in the near future...
I really hate how Samsung can't make good screens. Why does their screen have these lines, crushed black, burn ins, tints? With yours on the Note II, if it was calibrated properly it'd be an amazing display. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline]
I know, right?
Actually their screens are just calibrated badly. With yours on the Note II, if it was calibrated properly it'd be an amazing display.
I guess so, I just gotta accept how it is. I love my Note II but it makes me sad to see those really faint lines and the possibility of burn ins. Luckily no tint on my Note II as I had a really weak yellow on my SGSII. The problem is that what you've seen cannot be unseen and it drove me insane the first month on my SGSII. I need to get over it and realize no screen is perfect, not very easily thinkable when you pay so much. I read XDA pretty much and hear how other phones from other manufactures have tint and display problems. Just gotta take it for what it is right? What do you think? Should it be complained over or just be accepted?
The problem with the surface for me is both the screen, and the fact that my 32GB tablet would have 20GB free.
Yeah, that's a problem... So do you watch Mobile Tech Review?
I dunno, how's my screen?

Might just be less perceivable due to differences in brightness. What faint lines are you noticing on the display? (also the iPhone 5 and LG phone displays are pretty near perfect, they just suffer from LCD's inherent issues like bad contrast)

On my SGSII you could easily see the yellow tint on grey background but on my Note II you can't if you aren't looking hard. Should be happy for that! Well it's like lines in the background that goes horizontal and vertical. Have seen it on pretty much all screens and I guess it's the same with the tint, it's on all units. But I still wanted to ask, what do you think about this. Should I just be happy with my phone take it for what it is? I mean, I love Samsung and their phones, so I guess I gotta do a tradeoff if I keep using Samsung? [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] Look at this link, it explains what I mean. That's color banding, and yes for some reason it's quite an issue with OLED displays, although I don't know the science behind it. What do I think? Well the only Android phone I'd ever buy in the future would be one with an LG IPS display, with the capability to store 64GB+ of media, stock Android, the latest internals, top notch design and build quality, great battery life, and all user interface elements and apps running perfectly smooth. So basically an iPhone 5 that ran a rewritten Android. But just from a screen point of view, no I wouldn't be happy but everyone here knows how anal I am about the screens on my devices. [editline]22nd October 2012[/editline] Here's those beautiful lines on the Galaxy S II, and this is with some options to fix banding, looks worse without em.

Luckily I'm not the only one. That would definitely make me sad :P.
Garry: What about Sharp's IGZO displays? I heard they're actually pretty amazing. Pretty sure they're used in the Padfone 2.
Garry: What about Sharp's IGZO displays? I heard they're actually pretty amazing. When I see one of their IGZO displays, I'll decide for myself, but right now for the proven best panels you go LG or go home.

Either way, HTC seems to use Sony, Sharp, Samsung, and AUO Optronics for their display suppliers, so whatever is coming out from those companies are the displays that end up in HTC devices. Maybe Japan Display will end up on the list to replace Samsung, but who knows.

Sharp's production capabilities simply weren't/aren't up to snuff with Samsung, despite being a company that specializes in MAKING DISPLAYS.
You know that feeling when you see someone else with the exact same phone as yours? That happy, "hey, that person had the same phone model as I have!" feeling? Well I found this girl texting away on a Mini Pro. Using the keyboard I never use. I've only seen one guy and six girls who have the same phone as I do... Oh the other hand, I've seen hundreds of iPhones, S2s, S3s, Notes, etc. in a year now. Yes my phone is that rare...
A friend of mine has the same phone as you, he found his in the garbage. We were both volunteering at an eWaste pickup day and he found it in a box of other crap. Since he was using a BlackBerry at the time, he pocketed it (We were allowed to within reason, they were going to be recycled anyway). Though recently this happened and he's looking at the lumia 920:

I just hope that other companies can fill the gap for great displays.

It nearly gave me a heart attack! Your friend can replace the screen for cheap if you can find a digitizer/screen off ebay or something. Also, it's such a coincidence that the imgur url has the letters SKI7 in it...

Besides, the Xperia Pro is a better device just because it's not tiny.
