Guys, what's happening to my phone, it keeps wanting to turn off.
It's a 1st gen ZTE Blade. It just randomly asks if I want to turn it off, then when I hit the back button, it just pops us again. and again. AND AGAIN.

Power button is probably shorting out?
The phone is only 4 months old, so I can't see why it should be doing that already.
I'll try going over it with some compressed air when I get to school later today, it's extremely annoying.
I tried starting it without the SD card in it, that didn't help.

I know. What phone do you have? That's like 6-7 or so rows you have there and it doesn't look crushed.

How long will it take before the hardcore fanboys roll in? I just had to create the thread, I'm feeling sad inside and had to get it out.

I mean, I fucking love Samsung but even I can look at the problem and see that their phones have fault.

Beautiful first reply
Haha yea, didn't even reply.
The replies after that are equally enlightening.
And my GS2 has tint and burn-in issues too, only really noticeable on low brightness, can make out some of the keyboard letters on screen.
Fucking fanboys, I just wanted a informative discussion, not people who refuse to realize their precious love's fault.

For as long as I have owned my SGSII I kept brightness to 0%. Keeping it that low on my Note II to :v:.

Why. That's ridiculous.
Why. That's ridiculous.
Because I'm scared it will kill the cells and cause burn ins.
I don't think the burn in has anything to do with the brightness with these AMOLED screens, when I'm at home the screen is at minimum and when I'm out it automatically goes to auto-brightness, but there are some burnt in bits from apps I only use at home.
I don't notice any significant tinting on my phone.
Of course it's not like I have another Android phone to compare it to so what do I know
I don't notice any tint aswell. maybe its because I change my phone every few months :v:

Except that it can't do gaming or video playback because the refresh rate is way too low.
Remember the Notion Ink Adam tablet? It had a e-ink/color hybrid screen. I'd love that.

Pixel Qi is an immature technology.

Yah and the best part is the tint on the S II makes no sense. Everyone assumed the green color shift was because of PenTile, but the S II with its RGB display has exactly the same gamut as all the other phones. Oversaturated most in green, then less in red, and least in blue.

They could at least actually use maximum brightness on the Nexus.
GS2 screen green tint? That's the first I've heard, with my GS2, and everyone I know personally, the screen tinting is blue not green. Same with the Gnex phones.
I found a temporary solution to my issue, I took a regular A4 paper sheet, made to pieces that inside my cover, and then I taped it to my phone. I don't know how it works, but it just does.
And now that doesn't work anymore either.
They could, but the battery would deplete in about 2 seconds.
oh come on that's just not fair.
it would last at least 45 minutes!
e-ink looks smoother than normal android :v:

You don't understand. The display has a significant color shift toward green, it's more saturated in green than red or blue. Whites are too blue because the color temperature is too high.

how do you ever go outside
how do you ever go outside
man burka.
Besides, the Xperia Pro is a better device just because it's not tiny.
The screen and keyboard are just larger (3.7 inches vs. 3 inches), the specs are the same plus a 8MP camera (compared to my 5MP), it comes with an 8GB microSD card (I got a 2GB). So yes it is better but I don't like how it looks, it's too round and the physical buttons I would probably break by now.
I've seen a few with this phone, it lags like shit, the GPU has to render more pixels than mine so mine is smoother in general.
Hey, I just did the Android first app tutorial. I have a question: is @string/app_name actually used anywhere? I'm using API level 15, and both the title bar and the application name in the launcher use title_activity_main, not app_name.

No, no I don't.
SanDisk micro SDs are on the gold box deal today on Amazon.

Also, is it just me or is last page not working on the app.
I have to go to first unread to actually get the last page.
