Hmmm, I have to go back to gingerbread to get this jellybean to work This ics is messed up a bit anyways
I watched a good 2 hours of reviews tonight, and read a bunch too. From my understanding, its either a hit or a miss, but Asus is generally really good about replacing their misses. Misses include: screen not properly attached headphone jack not working gps not working and a few other things I can't be assed to look up right now. Most of those problems seem to have been fixed via replacement within a month But the big complaint I've seen most people have is that the browser is slow and jittery compared to others, which was the case for the TF700 I played with at best buy. I dunno if its software, or hardware, but it was about on par with my SGS2 browser speed. I'll look into it more, but right now its the most attractive tablet/keyboard dock combo on the market Also thank you Azn, I'll be sure to look into that. Polaris was kinda hit and miss for me. I wouldn't mind spending some money for a really good word app though
I would say that's probably more an issue with Chrome than the tablet itself. And I have a feeling a launcher like Nova would take care of a good deal of lag on page scrolling. That is, until ASUS makes an update (which I'm sure they will, I've only heard good things about their software support). As far as the hardware goes, they're probably second to amazon on support and replacement. Also, I'm pretty sure an Office app from Microsoft is due before too long.
I'm flashing through so many roms my brain is melting [editline]24th October 2012[/editline] Yesssss, I've got CM10/jelly bean 4.1.2 on my infuse now. Only took me all day!
Hot damn the Note2 is fucking amazing.
How are you doing with your Note II? Are you using screen protection? I'm not, it's like a condom, takes away the feeling. It's silky smooth to play with the glass directly.

I wish there was auto correct though.
My whole purpose for Installing up to jellybean is a success, I can pair my ps3 controller now

I am not sure, if I want to root it yet, because I really like how it currently is.
I would so buy a Note 2 if I had the money. I mean, mainly for the awesomeness, but also so that if I see someone bragging about their iPhone 5's "HUGE NEW SCREEN" I just whip out my goddamn 5.5'' screen in front of them, not even saying a word.

You don't actually change how the phone behave when you root, it's basically just you getting admin. You should absolutely do it, it takes less than 1 min.

My LG Enlighten was very easy to root, but to root my Galaxy Nexus, I had to unlock the bootloader--which erased all my data.

I'm just lazy. I'm just thinking what i should do when ? got root, except remove some unneeded Samsung apps, and remove boot sound. Maybe I'm gonna root it tonight, and install CWM. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] CWM should come in handy, and I could write some useful flashable zips again.

I have a really neat script from XDA that automatically remove bloat so you don't have to do it yourself. Just do it, you just connect to ODIN and press go, DONE! It's so friggin easy. just like on my SGSII. On my I removed bloat, boot, camera shutter/taking pic, modded to play 720p on youtube, louder income voice in calls and a couple of other stuff. It's so worth it.
I have the Kernel, and Odin, I just need a cable, and a windows machine. Have neither of them at my workplace. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] Also, why the hell is the sdcard now located at /sdcard/extSdCard? do *nix softlinks work for android apps like the samsung file browser/es file browser?
Hehe. Gonna make my notification bar transparent now. Grey is my worst enemy. On my SGSII I spent some time to get rid of ALL the grey on the whole phone.
FUCK I can't symlink, because the sdcard is fat32.

I think Tegra 3 just can't keep up with the screen, since the nexus 7 with a crippled version of the same SoC at 1280x800 runs way better even with both on 4.1.
Link to script pls (assuming they have one for the SGS3 as well).
It's not exclusive to Note II no. Basically, just connect your phone with USB debugging on, start the bat and that's that. It will restart your phone automatically and then you press y if you wanna remove stuff.
8GB internal storage and 2GB RAM... They should have all the future Nexi come with a 16GB internal storage as a minimum!
Or a SD card slot.
I lost my notification bar but it doesn't matter. Gonna flash to a new FW anyway. N7100XXALJ3
8GB internal storage and 2GB RAM... Seriously my 720p copy of the Avengers is 9.8GB or something. It's because the Nexus phones are aimed at developers.
Pretty sure they'll be a 16gb version. Chill the fuck out.
