HTC deserves it in every way, as someone who's seen how horrible their decisions are I say that with confidence. No company that has intelligent people to make decisions would make their flagship phones exclusive to carriers when they don't have the brand power to do so. It's not like when AT&T had iPhone exclusivity, nobody changes carriers just to have a One X. So when the X is exclusive to Canada's worst carrier, that sort of puts them in a bad spot for getting sales.
Of course, the problem is that HTC is basically the last OEM that can even remotely come close to counterbalancing Samsung in any real way.
So AT&T just pushed an update to my phone. Problem is, when it reboots my phone, instead of the update shit, Clockwork Mod comes up. What should I do here

I only use Dead Trigger as a neat slot machine simulator. edit: was meant to be a reply to dead trigger posts somewhere above, what am I doing
I only use Dead Trigger as a neat slot machine simulator. edit: was meant to be a reply to dead trigger posts somewhere above, what am I doing
Same I open it to play slots every day and only play the game itself when I have nothing else to do
Stop trying to OTA update a non-stock ROM?
except the actual Android ROM is stock?
damn it I wish Samsung would just continue ripping Apple off, at least their stuff would look nice.
damn it I wish Samsung would just continue ripping Apple off, at least their stuff would look nice.
Apple doesn't like nice things. Unless they can rip you off by selling it. [editline]27th October 2012[/editline] http://www.howchip.com/shop/content.php?co_id=ArndaleBoard_en Hoo boy.

Nexus 10 confirmed for ugly as sin. Samsung shouldn't be allowed to design anything ever. They make great hardware but god damn their product design team are awful.
apple doesn't like their shit used without permission notice how no windows phone smartphones ever appeared in lawsuits
They're no threat to Apple, that's why.
They're no threat to Apple, that's why.
(also they bought licenses for the software that Apple are suing Samsung over)
They're no threat to Apple, that's why.
no they licensed apple patents
I was told to hold somebodies galaxy S3 as it was being used as a torch I came in my pants a little argh I need a new phone so badly, I'm missing a functioning screen
no they licensed apple patents
Before the news that Microsoft took the legal route was revealed I was stunned that WP7 had bounceback animations for scrolling everywhere in the UI and they hadn't been sued for it. I just assumed Apple didn't feel like having to go through some enormous war against Microsoft's patent portfolio. They've built up what honestly could be described as a brand loyalty for their smartphones. I guess most Android users don't really care about design that much, they're focused on the internal specs and the "vivid" display.
Whoops I seem to have flashed iOS on my GS2 Oh wait sorry it's just my bank's shitty app. Biggest bank in Australia and they can't even get icon borders done right.
you probably have to put more effort in to get that look than default android buttons
That would be why it took them 7 months to bring out after the iOS version. But the even funnier part is the iphone version does NFC payments, the Android one doesn't...... Real shame, some of the other banks here have made some nice holo styled apps.
Err, no iPhone has NFC so how could it do NFC payments?
I know, that's the stupid part, it's in a special phone case. They keep saying that Google haven't replied to requests on getting access to the secure element in Android phones, I just think they are lazy.
holy fuck i kept confusing you with garrynohome then i viewed your events
Yeah, garrynohome went for the Kurby avatars for a while, now he's back to his whatever that is. I only look at avatars most of the time..
Well this looks final: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/10/27/seemingly-final-nexus-4-render-leaks-actually-looks-real-this-time/ But it really seems like there won't be a 32GB version on launch. Dear Google, get murdered.

Dear Google, get murdered.
I really don't like how busy the back is. You've got a big Nexus Logo, the LG logo with the letters LG beside it, and all the little info below it. That's all on top of the shiny pattern. Also I'd need a 32GB one at least, preferably a 64GB one. This sucks, if you want a Nexus device you can never get lots of storage.
except the actual Android ROM is stock?
Not stock firmware. If you modify system/firmware data in any way OTAs will not work for the most part. CWMR doesn't support the OEM's OTA file structure, so it won't work.

The nexus 4 has wireless charging
