Well, it's getting updated, and OpenOffice isn't, so I would assume so. I'm not sure on the particulars, because I never have any necessity for office software, but I'd assume so.

Yes, it's not like I'm going to install something owned by a corporation that has showed itself to be less "open" than the one they bought. Especially not when there are 100% free alternatives.
Most of the key developers left OpenOffice anyways.
