Ewww, the new UI looks like it was changed for the sake of change, it's so bland and looks unfinished.
meh, i've seen worse UIs
i already get 140fps on the first level and then on the third and fourth it breaks and gets like 20
How annoying, I get the same bug. I assume it's a bug anyway because there's just as much on screen on those levels as the ones before it, and no sprite effects or post processing or anything
meh, i've seen worse UIs
Yea it's not horrendous, but considering how convenient/awesome it's been in the past this is disgusting.
i think one of you guys should make make a megathread about ATI drivers, like the nvidia one.
i think one of you guys should make make a megathread about ATI drivers, like the nvidia one.
They're updated monthly. So we already know when they'll be out. No need for a thread.
Wow, I'm sticking with 9.6 just because of that UI (unless someone gives me a good enough reason)
tried all possible options. check it out [IMG_thumb]http://i28.tinypic.com/2ecztb6.jpg[/IMG_thumb] [IMG_thumb]http://i30.tinypic.com/2q8r31y.jpg[/IMG_thumb] dx9 mode just dies totally after the first two when it was running better than dx10 beforehand
Oh, sorry, I must have only tried the test in DX10.
Wow, I'm sticking with 9.6 just because of that UI (unless someone gives me a good enough reason)
As am I. Is there any significant performance difference?
Wow, I'm sticking with 9.6 just because of that UI (unless someone gives me a good enough reason)
Why not just do the install driver only option? Thats what I do, I still have the 9.6 CCC with the 9.7 driver. It works fine that way.
If my ATI card continues to crash no matter what driver or OS is that a sign that my card is dying? Had it now for about 8 months. I get driver crashes in every game except ArmA 2, i've already started saving up for Nvidia cause i'm giving up on ATI now.

when you need to turn down your clock speed from default then it's time you need a new card [editline]07:59PM[/editline]
If my ATI card continues to crash no matter what driver or OS is that a sign that my card is dying? I've got 9.1 on my Vista install, and 9.7 on my Win7 one, and other than the UI, I am not seeing any major differences. Then again I don't have Crysis to confirm this FPS boost. The new UI was a bit confusing at first, I still don't like it quite as much as the old one, but it this is the way they are going, we are going to have to live with it...or find third party tools to replace it.
anyone have a guide for renaming my gpu?
Regarding Crysis, I got an fps decrease. im crying
Regarding Crysis, I got an fps decrease. im crying
What card? I don't want to install nao! :(
3870x2
Pff, 4870 ye nab!
3870x2
3870x2 > 4850x2? wat
i have no idea, is that what you have?
i have no idea, is that what you have?
Yeah, I have 2x 4870s. It seems like you got better FPS than I did in the RE5 benchmarks.
Do you have an i7? I do, the game is incredibly optimized for them.
Do you have an i7? I do, the game is incredibly optimized for them.
Ah, that's where the difference is, I suppose. I have a Q9450, but still, the difference is quite a shocker.
I have a Q9450 and a 4870. Should I upgrade? Has anyone tried playing Fallout 3 before and after upgrading drivers?
I have a Q9450 and a 4870. Should I upgrade? You should probably wait for the octa-cores to come out before upgrading from a Q9450. Fallout 3 works fine maxed out. It is basically made using the Oblivion engine, anyway.
I am using a 4000+ 2.1 ghz dual core with a 2600XT AGP you all suck

That is, of course, unless you want to blow hundreds more on an nVidia card.
liked the old ui better.
