MBAM and AVG. only because they saved my ass a few times. ironically MBAM was one of the only programs i could load up when i got some adware shit.
Personally, I don't use antivirus.
I've used them before, but they're ugliest piece of crap :v:

There's no point on installing an anti-virus on Linux unless the system is interacting with a Windows system in one way or another.
Vigilance
*Obviously not true for Windows or Mac.

Like dual booting?
I want to mention: everybody in the world should be using Adblock Plus and NoScript. (Chrome has alternatives to both of these, but neither are as robust as the Firefox versions last time I checked. Still, something is better than nothing.)
One of these days I'm gonna put XP in a VM and install every single toolbar ever.
I wonder if you can still find them on the net
I searched for like 15 minutes and found only like 3. happy searching anyway!
You won't run a shit under Wine unless you're complete idiot
It's not so much to stop dangerous software being run under WINE. It's more to catch the malware that is sitting inert on your drive before it spreads to other Windows/ Mac OSX hosts on the network.
Is kaspersky any good?
Yes
Uh there are more javascript/flash exploits than there are Java exploits. A large amount of applications are either applets or Java applications. Uninstalling Java is like uninstalling windows because you can get a virus using windows.
HAHAHAHAHHAHA, you are joking right? You do know there is a difference between Java and javascript

He clearly does know that if you read the quote.

I don't get it, I can name a file "backdoor_trogan_malware.exe" But it may not have a malicious signature so who gives a fuck it is just a file name.
Do you even know how A/V's work?
I wasn't aware that I've been running without anti-virus software for over half a year until a few days ago. Can't be bothered to install one now after all.
Avast + Commodo!
I'm wondering about those anti virus programs that companies put out on their websites for free download, Norman to be specific. I'm not going to uninstall Avast! just because some company says so, but some off my friends might, and they're running Avast! too. Should I tell them to ignore Norman and just keep using Avast?

Yes, Norman is terrible.

I think those were virus samples.
Norton Internet or something, Payed for it once, Renewed it lots of times. I have never had a virus.
Why would you pay for an AV?
And the thing you say, I have never had a virus, that's what you think. Get MBAM and check out how many viruses do you have?
I use MSE and sometimes scan with MBAM. Common sense is not that helpful sometimes. I had 2 viruses, not anything big but simply some small ones can pass by. And I usually only browse on "Safe" sites.
I payed for the Avast Pro just because I wanted to support Avast, as long as Avast does good for me I will pay for it.
Yeah. I mostly meant why would you pay for bad bloatware what calls itself an Anti Virus?

And you're sure because Norton says so?
