I have no clue, not my desk.
I wish I was good at CAD so I can design this, but alas, I can't make anything more complex than a few gears in SolidWorks, so I'll describe as best I can.
I want my office and bedroom to be combined in the master bedroom. The office would be a "sub level" of the master bedroom, with a king sized bed being above the office. Think of it how like some dorms do it, but with a little more fleshed out idea, where the sub-level office would be like a room in it's own regard. When I'm done gaming or whatever I'm just under my bed, so that will be convenient until I break my legs or some shit.
Otherwise, I want a nice L shaped desk, but I don't want it in the corner. I want to simulate a separate room by having the L sort of "block off" the area where the chair will sit.

That thing with the radiator looks like one of the watercoolers that powermac G5s had.[/QUOTE]
That is exactly what it is.
2.5GHz Quad Core PowerPC w/Water Cooling
Is any one selling processors for cheap or video cards(off-topic)...because I need to replace mine but I will only buy it for 70 bucks.

So what is that in the picture under the table and what is that big box on top. Specifically the receiver thing on the bottom with lights. It looks shiny and pretty

That what you wanted?
Yea thanks

What are the servers for?
I keep the supermicro off because its fucking loud, but I occasionally use it to test server configurations for clients. The Dell is running ESXi for VMs and shit. The xServe RAID contains my iTunes library and various backups.
I was thinking of getting one, if and when I do, what can I do with it. Because it's for free and he said that he doesn't have room for it. When I do get more info on it I'll tell you guys tomorrow
[editline]5th December 2011[/editline]
Oh so that's what servers are for? Never really understood why you would need a server for your home
[editline]5th December 2011[/editline]
But you know you don't need a VMS
I use VMs for running network authentications services for my house. I run a domain controller, active directory, etc. Makes managing all my PCs a lot easier. I like to have a lot of horsepower lying around for when I need it. I have everything set up on fiber channel so that if I really need to, I can tie it all together and use it as one giant computer. Makes rendering video a really quick task.
Sorry VM's....personally i love them but it's hard to get them up in running on my friends server
How the hell can you do that, I've tried to google that and look it up several times but always fails.
[QUOTE=soldier9128;33576342]Sorry VM's....personally i love them but it's hard to get them up in running on my friends server[/QUOTE]
I love VMs. I just throw them up when I don't feel like pulling out a machine. ESXi makes it really easy.
Yea I really want to know how you hooked up multiple computers so it's like one Giant computer
[editline]5th December 2011[/editline]
Like is it thru your server?
[editline]5th December 2011[/editline]
So if I get what your saying, you can use multiple computer's and use both of there processors power and put it Into one computer
Yea they're essentially a cloud.

'splain
I wanted to this a lot. Unless you just mean rendering 3D visuals.

I used Ubuntu Cloud. It allows you to use the resources from each "node" as a single entity. Read up on it, its really cool.

Far left: Storage shelving for software, spare components, tools, and media
Left: Workbench - Equipped with basic electronics tools such as soldering iron and oscilloscope and dedicated light source.
Middle Left: Laptop - Dockable if possible so you can keep it constantly powered and connected and ready to be taken anywhere when necessary. My Briefcase seems to be an awesome feature built into Windows for something like this.
Middle Right: Master System - Your choice of system and OS but overall is the main system you work with and is permitted to consume the largest amount of desk space.
Right: Secondary System - System of a different design or OS if possible, used for tasks not possible on the main system (in my case, pro analog Video work)
Behind: Servers - Don't keep your servers too close to your desk. They are loud and hot [url=http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a166/ballsandy/computer%20room/?action=view¤t=100_2206.jpg]and for fucks sake, rack your shit if you can because it makes the universe easier.[/url]
Desk requirements are a minimum of ONE wrap-around shelf for items you can't but on the desk yet you do not want on the floor.
[QUOTE=MIPS;33582068]Everything.[/QUOTE]
Oh you are so helpful
I've yet to figure out how MIPS can live in that.
I'm thinking about buying an apple monitor for the Mac, and moving it back onto my desk as I bought a fucking long ass HDMI cable for my TV that goes to my PC. Good idea y/n.
I've always wanted to make an evil genius layer computer setup, but my desk sucks for it. I'd love to have a desk shaped like a crescent that sort of goes around me, but not too tight like Mips'.
I'd have a semi circular desk and then a chair on a camera-dolly-like track mechanism
