Quadros would be faster, if you can use all 4, but the problem with GPU encoding is that it's so limited generally. CPU's can be much more flexible in the codecs they use. Which is why almost all GPGPU encoding software sucks. The Intel built in Encode is some of the best quality I've seen from non-CPU encoding.

Still that's 1792 CUDA cores. Can't knock it.

Which is still fantastic for 3D rendering. But encoding can be as simple or advanced as you want. GPU's just can't do encoding too well with much control.
