Why would MS tear down Apple products? Microsoft doesn't do hardware except for the Zunes, they're pretty much software only. Did they look at the ipods?

You can not physically tear down software. Tear down implies something was done physically. So yah, I guess I am well educated for knowing that I can't tear code. A better term would have been "reverse engineer".

Ah yes. I forgot Microsoft has their peripherals line of products. Looking at it the MS Touch Mouse does remind me a lot of the Apple touch mouse.
