im not cutting my hair and the cpu is stuck to the heatsink
butter knife
did you use glue [editline]8th April 2013[/editline] as thermal paste
butter knife
tried it [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] upon further inspection i bent a row of pins by accident when i took it out whoops
Use some acetone to dissolve the thermal compound/paste. Should at least weaken it enough to get it off.
i'm gonna wait for my dad to get home maybe he can help
im not cutting my hair and the cpu is stuck to the heatsink
Twist the cpu back and forth until it breaks free This isn't rocket science
how's the hackintosh doing
Well we are finally getting somewhere, we got OSX to install and boot off the USB easily, but due to the X220T's poor UEFI implementation we have had to modify the OSX installer to install on a MBR hard disk. It's finally installed to a degree (well you can see by my user agent icon) but still trying to get things like sound drivers installed.
what version are you using
Twist the cpu back and forth until it breaks free This isn't rocket science
the cpu isnt budging at all [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] ok scratch that it's moving albiet very slowly uh so let's see where that goes [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] ahahaha yess it came off

Fuck, i really want to use my GPU for litecoin, but for some fucking reason GUIMiner just won't connect to the server. Can anyone help me with this?
so i'm really mad. here's what you guys don't know on the chronicles of "shroom's computer is broken and we don't know what is wrong with it" computer starts shutting off randomly. dad suggests motherboard for a reason i can't remember. we get motherboard. doesn't work. eventually, order a new cpu because i noticed it was running hot. it got here today. i put it in, turn on computer, it still fucking shuts off. now i'm getting a power supply. what do you all recommend in that department? i'm probably going to want 700-800 watts

So a store near me sells microwave popcorn How did I live 18 years without microwave popcorn [editline]9th April 2013[/editline] microwaves are like computers, so I'm on topic: what happens if I cook it with the side that says "this side up" down
You force the microwaves to travel in a spiral which eventually creates a time vortex that sucks all life into it

I don't have a microwave :(
I'm not a fan of microwave popcorn, last time I tried it the package caught fire in the microwave. I have a proper popcorn maker that also melts the butter as well, I love it.
