Does anyone have the video where the cpu is a pancake?
I've never seen this video but that description really interests me
It's not burgling if the door's open ehuheuheu [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] Jk. However, I have probably broken some trespassing laws during looking for stuff :v: fuck tha poliec, I'm saving earth by recycling shit
FUCK DO POULISE And you guys would never guess what i found. I FOUND CONTENT http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1180585-Windows-fails-after-installing-video-card-drivers-for-Radeon-7850?p=18064304&viewfull=1#post18064304 [editline]6th April 2013[/editline] apparently the BIOS does everything like a flipping hyperviser. Okay then, how am i still able to use a PC when i remove the BIOS chip itself?
Okay then, how am i still able to use a PC when i remove the BIOS chip itself?
This sounds extremely dangerous/stupid I'm sure he meant that immediate events that follow pushing the power button, as in POST.
Okay then, how am i still able to use a PC when i remove the BIOS chip itself?
You did that?
You could on older systems, they solder the buggers in now.
That's what I thought, which is why I'm asking.
I've never seen this video but that description really interests me
i found it but it was a pancake in a box
Eugh, that case sounds so cheap and flimsy.
I'm more worried about the heatsink box. It looks like very low quality cardboard.
i found it but it was a pancake in a box
Central Pancake Unit :v:
You did that?
Yep, on an old P4 box to see what would happen. I also do it for recovering machines from a bad BIOS flash. stick the chip in another PC while it's on and flash it. only the socketed chips i do it with.
Me and a friend were accused of copper theft and nearly put in handcuffs yesterday. We were walking along the side of an abandoned warehouse building adjacent to campus along a river, just enjoying the day, throwing rocks into the river and such and we come back up from the bank to my truck it was surrounded by four police cars with the lights on and 5 officers with their hands on their guns. They bombarded us with questions, threatened us that they were going to look at the footage from the warehouse security cameras and that we should just tell them we were inside and save them the hassle and that threatening us with felony charges for being inside the facility, all kinds of stuff, demanded that I let them search my vehicle (which I did because I wanted to be done with the stupid situation as quickly as possible and have nothing to hide) and good god it was such a hassle considering we were seriously just sitting by the bank of the river for 45 minutes throwing rocks in and watching the water. Also, I was parked in a public area, we were not trespassing we were just adjacent to a campus owned abandoned building. In short, police over-react and me and my hipster friend don't exactly fit the description of a sleazy burgling copper thief.
So I just found a PC magazine from 2004 whilst tidying. "Did you know that AMD is the only manufacturer that offers 64 bit chips for desktop and notebook PCs"
So I just found a PC magazine from 2004 whilst tidying. "Did you know that AMD is the only manufacturer that offers 64 bit chips for desktop and notebook PCs"
Well they were for a time.
Well they were for a time.
Oh yes I know, just thinking how times have changed.
after reading a online guide for building your own pc i was scared that i might bend the pins on the cpu when i build it
after reading a online guide for building your own pc i was scared that i might bend the pins on the cpu when i build it
What pins? [sp]Intel CPU-s lack pins now... [/sp]
after reading a online guide for building your own pc i was scared that i might bend the pins on the cpu when i build it
Intel have the pins in the socket rather than on the CPU now.
Intel have the pins in the socket rather than on the CPU now.
Which is even more fun to fix if you fuck up.
after reading a online guide for building your own pc i was scared that i might bend the pins on the cpu when i build it
Well, you'd have to be really careless for that to happen.
