It's an old 2008 13" base model, except I gave it a 120GB OCZ ssd.

I dunno.
I find it kind of funny really how GPU cooling is so lacking, I mean we are cooling our (3750k 77W example) Processors with a massive chunk of metal or closed loop cooler, yet we are seem to be happy with putting two smallish fans on a fairly thin heatsink (7970 GE 250W).
