I really don't know, but i highly doubt it overheats in a living room that's kept at around 18 degrees Celsius.
Keep in mind you have a WRT54GL, they're (almost entirely) based on the WRT54G V4.
your's are running a vastly superior Linux based firmware (either Linksys own or some other aftermarket) while mine is using the gimped and generally horrible VxWorks based firmware.
And since it's only got a 2mb flash, it doesn't support any of the aftermarket router distro's out there.
The only thing to look out for when running a custom firmware is to clear the NVRAM after installing or else you will have problems getting a WAN address. Make sure to read the feedback, since there's some useful stuff in there.

Internals?
Looking at getting a HP Proliant DL 380 G3, good idea or not?
The supermicro in the white rack: 2.6Ghz AMD Quad Core w/ 8GB of RAM, 3 250GB 7200 RPM SATA HDDs.
The PE 2850 in the white rack: 2.8Ghz Xeon Quad Core w/ 6GB of RAM, 6 147GB 10k RPM SCSI HDDs.
The Apple XServe RAID in the white rack: 5x 250GB ADMs.
Don't feel like listing the office ones, cba to dig up specs in my google docs.
However, Boxxy is a 2Ghz PentiumIII w/ 512 megs of ram....don't know the HDD size, but it's IDE and shitty. It has 12 fans inside, and operates at sustainable temperatures even when the lid is on.
Boxxy is where it's at. I love the design of the Apple server, shame Apple seem to have discontinued them now.
I am tempted to get an Apple XServe RAID from Ebay in the not-so-distant future.
I love the use of the lack-rack too, how did you go about holding the rear of the servers up ?
Yeah, I picked up my XRAID up on ebay for $500. I used rails in the LACK, and I have the coffee yable version so it is longer.

No reason hiding it, nothing illegal going on here.
