• Syncing with iTunes - What a wonderful idea

So, I can't put songs directly onto my iPhone 4 anymore. I can't extract pictures either. Because if I choose to administrate songs and videos manually, iTunes wants to just remove all content on my iPhone. The reason is probably that I had it synced with my PC before I got a new computer. To be honest, this isn't very well designed. But if I really have to do it, I'd like to know beforehand exactly what 'content' covers. Does it remove apps? What about contacts and such? If anyone knows, please tell me.
I'm pretty sure it just erases all your shit, so back that jont up!
I'm pretty sure it just erases all your shit, so back that jont up!
How? iTunes will not let me copy anything to anywhere as long as the iPhone is synced with another library.
sharepod - add songs to ipod, or extract all the songs from ipod to computer ifunbox - extract pictures and video(that you took on the phone), extract songs and videos on your ipod app. You can sync with itunes selectively, meaning you can choose to sync your apps only, or songs only, instead of a total sync. This means that after you extract all the vids and photos and songs using my aforementioned programs, add them back to itunes on your new computer. then, click on your music tab and sync, it will erase the songs on your phone and insert the same songs you extracted and put back into itunes. as for apps, make a list of all the apps you have dl-ed( or screenshot them) and re dl from from the computer (if you want to sync your apps on a new computer)(make sure you authorize your account on the new computer.). much faster+ can dl 20+ apps at once. Feel free to ask me any questions. ( done this many times)
It seems that despite my fear, iTunes only removed music and videos. All photos, apps and contacts were still there. I did back up everything using iFunbox, so it wasn't a problem either way. Thanks for all the help.
I can't even sync my iPhone any more. It's constantly fucking freezing at the backup and then I have to end all iTunes processes just to try again. It told me to go screw myself and die in a hole the other day I think. It's starting to honestly get on my last nerve. Help me before I fulfill iTunes' wishes. Edit: Finally found a resolution to my problem. For people still experiencing something like this do the following: 1) Close iTunes 2) Run cmd as an administrator 3) Type "netsch winsock reset" and press enter 4) Restart the computer and open iTunes. Shouldn't have a problem after that.
