The Noctua cooler is a waste of money. Currently, the best air cooler is the Xigmatek S-1283. Buy that with a Scythe Ultra Kaze, and get some Corsair RAM. The rest of your build is great.
That's why I said "If SSD = too soon... then SATA III = F$&# TOO $*@&$ SOON"
There's a difference..... SSD how fast the actual drive can read what's in it. Such as, how fast I can find a folder in a filing cabinet. SATA III is how fast the data can be sent. Like how fast I can pull the file out of the filing cabinet.

The Ultra Kaze isn't an option for this build... It's mounted in the 1000 for a reason... Mostly for it's quiet.
OP don't get the 3430 get the 3440 it has hyperthreading why the 3430 does not.
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=17460167
Get the Xeon 3440 instead.

It's really not that loud, trust me.
Get the Xeon 3440 instead.
I didn't choose an i5 build because the 3rd 5850 would have been bottle necked by an x4 slot.
It's really not that loud, trust me.
It will be too much... I have this thing out in the open... I am willing to pay more for a bigger heatsink with similar performance with the far quieter performance.

Somehow only read 2 5850s.
Back to the Xeon processors... Will I see a performance hit for less multicore optimized games if I use an multi-threaded processor?
Also, again on the processor, could any FPer direct me to an regular i5 to xeon i5 comparison?

The xeon 3440 is a lower clocked i7. So you get around the price of the i5 but the goodies you get with a i7. Also none multi threaded programs will still run fine.
Would the xeon 3440 have any problems with the CPU level-up feature of my MoBo? I was considering having the auto-OC take it up and allow me to continue to OC from where it can get it to.

Then get a V8.

Don't even use CPU Level Up. It's stupid.

An answer please? I didn't ask if you would recommend it... I asked if the MoBo would be able to auto OC it... Can it?
Why auto OC it? Manual is always safer in most cases.

Ok, sure, use something that is shitty and works terribly and then try and put another overclock on top of that (which you can't do).
I have a Maximus II Formula, I know what you'll be dealing with.

Thank you for an reason.
That being said... Will I have any problems in the Bios using an xeon processor?
I wouldn't imagine so. It'll think it'll just show up as a processor. Server processors are just built mainly server uses and mainstream processors are usually built for what regular users would usually do.
in my experience with amd boards, auto clock features kept of setting the voltage too high and ended up stupidly hot, go with the sure thing, do it yourself
You'll probably call me an idiot, but paying more than $1,000 for a computer is just stupid. You're losing so much price:performance. You can spend $750 every 4 years for a computer that goes almost as fast as a $2,600 computer, or $2,600 every 2 years because you're spending this much money for bragging rights.
Also the i5 is crippleware.

You left a while ago, please don't come back.

:downs:
Right. Continue spending thousands while I spend $750 for a computer that still GOESFAST.

Who the hell are you?
He is Odellus, An occasionally biased but very, VERY often correct member of this forum.
Thank you sir... You can enjoy your $750 computer as long as you want... Now are you going to help me with my build?
Also... i5 cripple ware? For your TL:DR enjoyment, I am using the x3440 now, Please keep up.
[editline]12:33PM[/editline]
For that matter... Who the hell are you?
[editline]12:36PM[/editline]
Oh... and also... Your comparison is flawed... It would be $750 every 4 years and $1500 every 2 years... or $3000 for one year? Wow... My build might just be cheaper for a 4 year span...
[editline]12:37PM[/editline]
Whoops... Backwards... It would be $750 a year, down to $3000 every 4... My mistake...
To be very honest when I keep coming to this thread, I feel that list in the OP is bad set up.
I'm sorry.. the list is outdated.. Im gonna post a new one very soon
